The commitment is that within 3 years all staff employed either directly or 3rd party will receive at least RLW. The club already pay all directly employed staff at least the RLW and have done for years. They are only 2 months into this voluntary commitment so saying ''thy didn't deliver'' is therefore illogical. They have 3 years to deliver, exactly the same as Everton. As for the story, it's a bit of a non story. LFC made a commitment; now a newspaper discovers their subcontractor is advertising jobs at the lower minimum living wage rate. There's no evidence btw that since June 2018 [involving just one game] that any staff used at that one game have been paid the lower wage rate. That would be the real story. As for 'denials' 1.The subcontractor can't deny a printed job advert, it's there for all to see - and that's all the 'story' is. 2.When asked about the job advert - ''A spokesperson for LFC said: “Some workers are employed through third-party contractors and, as part of our commitment, we are working with our suppliers to ensure that, within a maximum of three years, all third-party workers are paid the real Living Wage if they are not already.” You're right, it's not complicated.
They made a commitment that all staff and workers would be paid the living wage by June 2018. They made that commitment in November last year, so where does the 3 year timeframe come into it? https://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/announcements/280286-lfc-confirms-real-living-wage-commitment
Do you read these links you post? FROM JUNE 2018. Second paragraph ''over the next 3 years ...'' https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/everton-pay-staff-contractors-living-12101127 It's the time frame given to the clubs who sign up to the LWF Chelsea were first to sign up in 2014 - Chelsea will pay all directly employed members of staff the Living Wage as a minimum - currently £9.15 in London or £7.85 an hour outside of London. This rate is significantly higher than the current national minimum wage of £6.50 an hour. At the same time the club will also start the process of ensuring staff of external contractors will also recieve the Living Wage for working at Stamford Bridge, Cobham training ground and all areas where the club operates. Chelsea will also ensure any additional agency employees not currently meeting the criteria to recieve the Living Wage will also get the same rates of pay. This process will be completed by 2017.
Nah...he knows what he’s doing. He knows that he’ll struggle to win the league again here so is he ngineerong a pay off and will be teeing up his next move.
He's always been an "all about me" manager. Somehow he managed to fool a lot of people for a long time that his self-obsession was a diversionary tactic.
With a bit of luck, it’ll run on for a couple of months yet....could do without someone figuring out how to get the best out of their squad this year
Well Chelsea didn’t end well, his behaviour alienated his players - Real Madrid the same, At Inter it was the press....basically wherever he goes there is division - obviously, saying that this or any of those were engineered is an assumption....but the man is not stupid, I think that he k owns the ramifications of every word he mutters....
As someone who regularly gets involved in procurement, cost is very rarely the first item on the list.
So the spine of our team has been vastly improved. Where do we invest next? Who’s on the shopping list in the next couple of windows? For me, we have no depth in both of our Full back slots. Moreno is a liability, TAA is nowhere near the finished article yet and Clyne is not the marauding type. In fact Milner is likely our best option as cover for both positions! So I’d be lucky oking here first, look at the young lad from Palace the other day, players are there and available at decent prices. Matip seems to be perpetually injured and at some point, will need replacing. Perhaps this is sooner rather than later - one decent acquisition and we’ll have ‘one of the worlds best defenders’ as fourth choice We’ve loads of midfielders now but few who can pick out a pass. I’ve yet to see Fabinho play so for now, no need to strengthen here again atm. Forwards: buy Pulisic. Just get him. So next buys for me: RB/LB CB Pulisic
for me clyne is adequate for lc/rb cover for this year. you are right about Moreno. if we look at preseason one up in man did quite well at rb. but nobody imo (As in lewis) is up to the standard in young lads in u23. so... yeah maybe a full back. we are in the process of clearing house up front. ings gone. origi is being pushed but there are no takers at our price. sturridge is back up with shaqiri right now and solanke. I would have to say that in 12 months yes a pulisic would be great but sturridge should be gone so that then means and other brewster is awesome OR we need someone centrally. cb.. yeah. klavan gone. lovren is lovren and Matip is too injured so we need someone to push the likes of gomez and vvd along. lovren can fill in either side so this gives klopp flexibility. Phillips did ok in preseason but that won't stop klopp. Then there is gk. we need to decide there too.
