Cristiano Ronaldo: Juventus to sign Real Madrid forward.
Real Madrid forward Cristiano Ronaldo is set to join Juventus, becoming one of the four most expensive players of all time.

It is understood a deal worth £105m has been reached between the two clubs that will see the 33-year-old Portuguese end a nine-year stay at the Bernabeu.

Ronaldo won four Champions Leagues and two La Liga titles at Real.

"The time has come to open a new stage in my life, that's why I asked the club to accept transferring me," he said.

Nothing to do with the fact the most tax he will pay on overseas earnings is about 90k, rest is tax free in Italy

BREAKING NEWS

Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson has agreed a new long term contract with the club.

He will feature tonight for the team away to Tranmere in their second pre-season friendly of the summer.

Maybe no one if the Old Lady has inherited some cash...Talking of Ronaldo, i wonder how much revenue he brings through marketing.

I don’t get this deal at all. He’s 33 so has no resale value and will be on huge wages. They must be very confident in the number of marketing deals that they can wrap up quickly because football is a fickle game and fans will move onto the next superstar....as will the marketing money!!

Credit where due he is superfit still and probably has a good 3 or 4 years in him at the pace of Italian football, if he flops they can always do a Shergar with him and claim the insurance money:emoticon-0102-bigsm

The first day that Juve was even linked to him, their stock went up 12%

Am not questioning his ability, perhaps I do question how long his joints will last....perhaps Italy will suit him better like you say.

Is that so? Didn’t know that. Share price is all very well but investors will soon sell i they feel Juve are not getting a suitable return on capital invested. I expect some pretty spectacular sponsorship deals to follow to make this pay tbh.

I agree, plenty of years left to market his ass and make a tidy profit. Ronaldo is like a footballing idol for many and will remain so as long as he performs to a good level. At the moment he has been crazily good, even at half that level he'll be worth it.
