About £3.57. At €70m, he's still valued higher than Everton Football Club

:bandit:

These days Everton is worth more as a zoning tool for Moshiri's property development than an actual football club

So long as Fat Sam promises to avoid relegation and not ask for a positive net spend Moshiri is happy to keep him onboard

He learned how to use a stagnant football club moving to a new stadium with a low spending long term manager for his own profit at Arsenal

<laugh>..........nothing like an early morning dig
Slightly makes up for the daily bull we get on here.

Silence is golden as they say.

Although I'm sure a reply will be coming soon after he has trawled the various utd forums lol.

Anderlecht have contacted Liverpool about a permanent deal for Lazar Markovic this summer, according to a HLN.

The Belgian newspaper report that Anderlecht do not have an option to sign the 24-year-old attacker permanently but will pursue such a deal anyway this summer.

Yep another player with can't be arsed attitude.

These youngsters nowdays know that once they get their contract they don't have to do much which is a fecking joke.

Put all players on performance based contracts and makes you wonder how many would surprise us.

I think you are right.

we paid the guy 35k per week for 4 years now.

he's played 19 games.

so thats 7.28mil in wages to him. for 19 games

or 383k per game.

Now.... theres the small matter of 20mil down the toilet too.

by the end of his 5 years, should he drag it out, 9.1mil to him... tax man takes his granted but still... i think we could all live off 4.5mil for life no?

all in all it seems to me that the transfer committee before klopp (and its only rodgers and arye that have left) had a record of picking with no look to attitude at all.

Since klopp has arrived the only lads who's not fulfilled his potential shall we say is grujic due to injury and not being up to par with speed of game. he might be good next year

Marko Grujić
Kamil Grabara u23 keeper
Sadio Mane
Loris Karius
Joel Matip
Ragnar Klavan did a job for 4.2mil as reserve
Alex Manninger 3rd keeper job
Georginio Wijnaldum
Mohammed Salah
Dominic Solanke (we never expected him to be near firsts this year)
Andy Robertson
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Virgil van Dijk

Thats 8 of a first team signed plus reserves and not one a flop. not one a bad attitude.

You can debate quality and all that and thats down to who we can attract.... but thats a 100% record for me in terms of getting the right fit for club.

Totally agree with this. Our transfers have gone from iffy to excellent in the few windows that we've operated in under Klopp.

Klopp clearly has a way of spotting players who just want the big money move and will then just sit back and let the wages roll in. He seems to be able to spot players who are hungry for more than just money, the ones who even if they do not win any trophies want to improve and become better players.

There are a few that stand out for me with Klopp.

The first is going to be Mohamed Salah. He's brilliant on the pitch but his attitude, his humility, he seems to enjoy the extra few things that the club do in the community (e.g. the school surprise thing etc.). The little things like actually improving on his English since he's been here (already knew a bit tbf), not celebrating against his former club, the respect he has is awesome.

Next is Alex Oxlade Chamberlain He chose us over Chelsea. He rejected the chance to stay at Arsenal. Both options would have given him more money. He came to us motivated and whilst not straight into the first team, began showing us flashes of what he can do.

When the attitudes are like that, it builds a team spirit that translates easily to the fans and makes the experience even more exciting and memorable. We really ought to appreciate what Klopp has brought and what we're witnessing.

Edit - throw in the story of Andy Robertson too! Although that's unlikely to be a signing Klopp made a decision on his own.
