£200mill today £50mill increase in one day feck me Put it down to us lot talking his price up, clearly the hacks read this forum
He will have a great season one day, he is still young. At the moment he is playing like he has all his life so far (form).
He was a stand out player in Italy, the pace over there is much slower which gives him time to do his thing, he can't cope in the Prem, he walks around the pitch most of the time and barely breaks a sweat. Even Mourinho seems to have had enough, PSG on loan is the rumour, maybe he'll live up to his pricetag and ridiculous World Class status over there.
Barcelona, Paris St-Germain and Real Madrid are all interested in signing Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah, 25, for a world record £200m. The Egyptian has scored 28 Premier League goals so far this season. Liverpool handed huge transfer boost as Real Madrid lower asking price for Keylor Navas LIVERPOOL have been handed a huge transfer boost as Real Madrid lower their asking price for Keylor Navas.
Said this a lot, a club can not move on a player who doesn’t want to go. A player can only move if the club wish to cash in. It doesn’t appear Salah is the type to move/throw toys out of the pram
I don't think Salah will want to go after one season, it's when you get into the 3rd season that it becomes a worry.
Tony cottee is behind the times. 150mil won't buy you **** these days. it was 20mil, then 30, then 50 and now its 150 for any old sort of player. salah as a special player starts at 250 and prices then goes up.
Like all good players. If he continues like this or improves He'll expect the rest of the team will reflect that improvement. 3 years from joining is enough to see if that happens. After that I have no problems with him looking elsewhere...only thing I personally hate is a player signing a further contract and then playing up or downing tools when it doesn't then happen on their timescale. Klopp (and his team) so far have shown they can find good players and the club then buy them so I'm optimistic we can match a Salah at this level or improved across the squad over 3 years. Of course there's always players who just want the best money deal for themselves. .. fair enough...not much a club can do about that if someone offers him and us something silly.
But he pushed for a move (without throwing his toys out of the pram) and it appears the club were happy with the deal
We certainly got a good deal for Couts, waiting that 6 months netted the club an extra £60m or so. We've not looked any the worse for it on the pitch either
I don't think that's entirely true, tbh. I think he did throw a strop, albeit quietly. There were the "injuries" and the "I've played my last game for Liverpool" quotes all happening in the summer and he made no effort to disassociate himself from the rumours. All of those things started to kick off again in January. Klopp doesn't like players who don't want to play for him and I think that he'd had enough. Rather than the club being happy with the deal I think they were just resigned to it.
