Another thing that Mig does quite well is push the ball to the sides when he gets his hands onto it. Karius has had a tendency to put things back out into the danger area too often. I hope he's working on this.

Liverpool are close to reaching an agreement with Monaco for 22-year-old France winger Thomas Lemar. (Le 10 Sport, via Metro)

Manchester United are keen to sign Watford's Abdoulaye Doucoure, but face competition for the 25-year-old French midfielder from Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal. (Mirror

Ryan Sessegnon 'wants to move to Liverpool' - on one condition
Fulham wonderkid Ryan Sessegnon wants to move to Liverpool, it has been claimed, providing the London side are not promoted to the Premier League this season.

The Reds were keen on the 17-year-old last summer, and was identified by Jurgen Klopp and his recruitment team as a possible long-term left back at Anfield.

The ECHO understands that Liverpool doubted the youngster’s commitment to a move to Merseyside back in May, and withdrew their interest, with Sessegnon seemingly heading for Tottenham.

But the youngster decided to stay at Craven Cottage and sign a new deal with the Cottagers.

Yet the Express have claimed an 'exclusive' on Sessegnon's future intentions, claiming he has now decided he wants to move to Liverpool, having realised his first-team opportunities won't be restricted under Klopp.

The story suggests if Fulham fail to win promotion, Sessegnon will seek to link up with Klopp, as he prepares to take the next step of his development.

Sessegnon's decision to stay at Fulham has been vindicated this season, with 14 goals in 36 league appearances, operating both in defence and midfield.

    14 goals , 4 assists in 39 games.

has barely missed a minute for fulham.

so... imo if fulham fail at play offs they will take in 40mil or so for him.

Ryan Sessegnon is a quality player and still only 17. Plays LB, but like Mito says likely to end up left midfield or wing.

Someone will be very lucky to get him in the end, not in desperate need for a player like him, but he is that good that I hope its us.

Haven’t seen much of him but his stats are incredible. For a 17 year old who changes between LB and LW, to be scoring that many goals and having such a big influence on games is impressive.

Going to be an expensive signing who ever does fork out for him

If he has any sense he will avoid Man City, they have ended so many promising careers of young, especially English, players.

    50mil min imo.

if fulham sell for less they are mad.

it won't be us. i think the stroy reported today was total bull. if he was concerned with not playing last year does he think one season in champ would assure him of game sin CL next year if LFC play 433 he would be in as lb or lw.

Speaking as a football fan, and not partisan in this instance, I think it's a bloody shame that so many promising players have their careers stalled by moving too soon to big clubs and having to wait too long for their turn to step up. Too many of the top European clubs are just going to buy in the ready-made article and keep the young ones for a future they may not see.

If Sessegnon is a London lad, or has spent most of his time in London he will probably go to a London club, Spurs probably as he will be more likely to get game time than at Chelsea or Arsenal.

TBF Lukaku has done well by playing at a series of small but incrementally bigger clubs and at 24 still has time to sign for a big club

For some unknown reason some people think London is the centre of everything, it probably is if you have tons of money but for 95% of the population it is just an expensive, poor quality of life existence. That is why I have refused to move there to work on several occasions despite daft amounts of money being offered as all the extra money you earn is taken up by a massive mortgage and a very high cost of living.
