I think his confidence is low, Southampton's fault. He was humiliated, unlike our Coutinho who got on with it.

Alan Smith has warned Jurgen Klopp that Liverpool FC may have missed their chance to sign Virgil van Dijk. The Netherlands international was heavily linked with a move to the Anfield outfit in the summer transfer window but Liverpool FC failed to get a deal over the line. Indeed, the Merseyside club were forced to issue an apology to Southampton about their pursuit of the former Celtic defender Barcelona' eyeing smaller transfer fee but greater add-ons' in January approach for Philippe Coutinho PLUS: Jurgen Klopp is targeting sensational Champions League success for Liverpoo Zinedine Zidane hints at interest in Liverpool star Mohamed Salah
Do the ****ers keep going on about virgil just so they can keep saying we was forced to apologise all the time.
if he's deliberately doing it then it'd some put on. I think he's not trained right, isn't fit and they play him anyway
We will buy him and he will turn out to be worse than Lovren, just one good season with Saints does not make him a brilliant player. We need a holding midfielder before a centre back. #controversialgarlic
Liverpool leading race to sign West Ham starlet Domingos Quina West Brom have started talks with Al-Ahly over completing a permanent deal to sign defender Ahmed Hegazi in January after interest from Liverpool, according to reports. The Express and Star claims that the Baggies have first refusal on Hegazi, 26, and are nearing a £4.5million deal to turn his loan stay at the Hawthorns into a permanent one. ESPN has reported that Liverpool were interested in Egypt international Hegazi, who has been in great form since arriving in the Premier League during the summer. Liverpool want Southampton to lower their asking-price for Virgil van Dijk Dutchman valued at £70million by Saints Van Dijk expected to be January target for Jurgen Klopp
I know we want saints to reduce fee, but he is on a long contract for them for what now days is a small wage. Saints even though fee is a joke don't need to get rid of him whether he is playing ****e or not.
Meanwhile,Klopp has ruled out RB Leipzig and Guinea midfielder Naby Keita, 22, joining the Reds in January. (Daily Star Sunday) And the Liverpool boss says he was put under pressure by his scouting department to sign Mohamed Salah in the summer after he initially feared the 25-year-old Egypt winger might be too skinny to succeed in the Premier League. (Mail on Sunday)
Is that normal for a manager to say? Or is that a journo spin. Seems odd a manager would say something like that unless it was twisted and he was giving the scouting dept credit.
Would disagree on that. One of the first things I noticed after Klopp's first summer was how much leaner some of the players looked. Lucas and Henderson were never big, but they looked very slim. Clearly demands a lower body fat ratio and being fitter for our system, thats why I would expect Chamberlain to look very different this time next year.
I think Gomez is good example of your point. he would never play him last year and commented during summer he told him to stop doing weights. now hes leaner and in team ox looks like he lives in the gym.
Thwhve worded it funny to make it seem more dramatic. Article on sky where Klopp said the scouts really pushed Salah in front of Klopp and told him he was ready so Klopp listener did bit more research and gave green light. Theyve made a dramatic story of something that is exactly how a scouting team and manager should work
I think it's more to do with the etc fitness training to be able to out run other PL teams all season
yeah I think it's all about that. he doesn't want you carrying bulk. too much muscle and you are just carrying it for no reason in klopps style. you are right it's about chasing and getting in quick not barging people about
