it is 99 but FIFA have correctly restricted it on the grounds Studge never actually sprints anymore to ensure he doesn't end up on physio table.
Paris St-Germain have made Liverpool midfielder Philppe Coutinho, 25, their priority signing for next summer's transfer window. (TF1 - in French) So, Couthinho to become the first £500m player at the end of the bidding war between Barca and PSG. FSG would deffo sell him at any price over £200m, it's the amount they bought the club for.
Its inevitable he will leave. I would rather he went to PSG at this stage, plus he would get to play alongside his best mate
Plus the fee can be 400mil all up front.. or at least a couple swaps we might actually want like draxler.
Yep. The market has gone absolutely bonkers. The top clubs are fighting over the few players who they think are "top class" and would make the difference. The rest can go and fester. How many good players have no contracts or no clubs? Clubs only chase the very best. Coutinho may be a good player but worth £132m plus? in relation to Neymar may be. Is he really worth more than twice De Bryun or Sane ? If we got offered £132m we should take it in an instant.
Transfer fees are a joke and have been for several years now. The sooner they scrap transfer fees the better, bring in a draft system... #yanklandrules
Wellllll...... we Bruyne would cost 300mil today so it's nearly impossible to compare to see what is value then and now. I would take the 132mil no question and buy 4 players Tim horn. The guy turned us down but he's too good at 10mil or less not to buy. Jonathon tah. About 25mil there... bargain... Van dijk might be available but maybe not slap 60mil down and see. Draxler will be available from psg 40mil Test those clubs resolve.
Nope. They are all supposedly klopp targets and in areas we need. Horn and tah are giants. Draxler is a well known target. If klopp says they turned him down once andvignores then then more fool him.
Not really. Neymar cost £200m because he was a very high profile prolific Barcelona superstar. Good as he is I wouldn't put DeBruyn in that bracket. compared to the other crazy prices, I would say £100m-120m. That is why Coutinho at £132m is well overvalued. Today more than in any times, the manager/recruiter/scout has got a crucial role and the best are worth their weight in gold. Can you imagine we got hold of the next Zidane, Messi or Ronaldo at a young age? There is no point going for the top players once they are in the limelight. The PSGs, Reals and Citys of this world would just snap them up at the highest prices.
Thing is we haven't been offered £132m for Couts, we have been offered £80m and it will take 5 years to be paid. The media love to throw around these huge sums but in reality its BS
All very true, but the fact is it's the big names that (many of) the fans clamour for. It's the lack of transfer activity of that kind which they give the club and owners so much stick for. Success will take a lot of luck amongst other things. We'd have to find all those future top-class players and start winning things before the bigger boys come and snatch them off us. This is why I think it's such a difficult task at the moment, and demanding success is a pointless exercise.
