We don't even need a world class defender. Just someone better than Lovren. We signed Matip for free, and i dont watch much German football so I knew nothing about him, and he is better than Lovren, so how hard has it been for our scouts this summer.

Citeh given up on Sanchez. Means Lemar has definitely turned Arsenal down.

I actually think the biggest problem for Arsenal is that he clearly looks like he cant be fu<ked to be there. He will be a bigger problem throughout the season more so than the loss of money.
TBH that looks like most of there team. Arsenal are going to struggle this season, Everton, Soton and West Brom all could finish above them this season. (along with the other usual suspects of course)

Adding up all the outs thus far and ins and its not a huge spend.
It's a pity we have focused on players klopp gets a hard on watching and not pragmatic matters but then... well we will just have to enjoying til It goes tits up and make do with that.
It should be a fun season mostly. Maybe January but that's a pain hope with klopp.

Lemar going nowhere this window. He'll be playing for most of what left until the deadline passes.
Yeah unless there is some dispensation that allows late registration due to the game. The price quoted arsenal bid is just not possible

Thomas Lemar indicated earlier in the summer that he would have moved to Arsenal. However, today he turned down the opportunity. Perhaps he is holding out for a Spanish giant like Barcelona to come in for him - and their window doesn't close until tomorrow night...
