No one blames Coutinho for handed in a request per se, but let's consider a few points: - He has potentially refused to play (possibly in the form of a false injury) - He sent the request via email. - He has potentially leaked information about his relationship with Klopp deteriorating (is this even true?) - He has changed his mind after previously (less than 8 weeks prior) reiterating his desire to stay. - It's late in the window and we have no replacement lined up. - Signed a new long-term deal earlier this year (on £150k-£180k a week) The above actions have a potentially unsettling effect in the dressing room more than a simple request. A lot of stuff seems to leave a bitter taste for fans, however if he still is here come 1st September then we'll all be expected to accept a potentially insincere/forced apology.
