Be interesting to see if anyone would make the move in Jan (if he doesn't move this summer). A lower price than this summer but still more than the £48m and one would assume RB would be out of the CL by then and know if they stand a chance of getting back into the CL.
You've nailedvit there. Thry all can look at him incl and see his true worth then grab him for that release fee if they want. I'm quite confident its now or never
think i'm in the minority here but for £70m+ i'd rather not get him. though that is based solely on the dosh rather than his abilities such as they maybe. On that front i get the impression some on here are saying just pay them the £70m with a fairly scant knowledge of the player , like myself , which just seems a bit weird.
Yep. Then it will be who will provide the best incentives: trophies, wages, bonuses, endorsements. When PSG, Madrid or City come calling, will he choose us?
Unless he is mad he willgo to tge biggest name offering him anything. The fact is he has been blocked by the director and unfortunately that guy will learn mouthing off like he has will put of agents and players but the complete blockage of a move will really upset agrnts. Red bull is already skirting the laws of the game big time. If this guy damages their reputation in football he will be out on his ear quick smart
i understand the we have to trust Klopp view & agree to a large extent ,after all there is no point buying players the manager doesn't rate , but surely we aint paying £70m for Keita & £60m for VVD so it comes down to priorities.
Probably not seeing as RB aren't selling Keita. But if we're talking about the club possibly spending that sort of money... can't see why not, the market has gone up and the TV deal means that Prem clubs can afford to pay bigger.
Right now our stance is neither deal is on. Neither player is happy so we miss out and clubs have unsettled players. I have to wonder if we have the ability to find others now at this stage.
That worries me. Klopp has said before that it's the right player or no player. Whereas that wisdom might have been useful to avoid Stupour Mario a few years back, it's not going to be nice going into next season without a CB.
The TV revenue has gone up but already quite a bit of the increase has gone on improved contracts plus we are approx £38m net spend on transfer fees this window. PS you may have guessed i'm a touch "frugal"
My feeling is that Klopp must feel he is special or more likely he'll turn out to be a top world class player. And by the time he is 27-28 he may turn to be a £150-180m player. A punt worth taking. And...in these crazy times, if you think a player is worth £65m you have to be prepared to pay £75m. Everything is relative to others. Walker and Lukaku have set the benchmark
Klopp has an eye for players. The board must back him without question. I'd rather that than more markovic's, Mario's', moreno's et al Truth is, if all is to be believed, VvD would already be an LFC player....same with Bertrand and probably untold talent. Support JK
Everton are reportedly interested in pursuing Genoa forward Diego Laxalt but the 24-year-old has his heart set on a move to Liverpool, according to Italian news outlet Alfredo Pedulla.
One of the trustable Itk said deal done, but then Jeremy Wilson in Telegraph (he's our club mouthpiece) saying no. So who knows!
