Except he kept possession himself and didn't "knock it down" to play the percentage.
You really should watch more games, how do you think I knew Can was ****, Coutinho was a 1 in 5 player and Firmino a 1 in 8 player. I watched them and didn't take the herd view.
By the way, Firmino is wasted with you, he is a very good second striker but is being mis-used by Klopp.

Kept possession or not, playing a 6ft 5 DM at left wing so you can just bypass the whole midfield and just go long to get anywhere near the oppositions goals isn't enjoyable to watch in my opinion.

Been a far cry having giggs or ronaldo as your left winger to going to fellaini.

So you would prefer Van Gaal/Klopp pass, pass, pass, sideways and backwards instead of get the ball forward and attack?

Id rather watch Salah and Mane attempting to run at players with speed and beat a man with skill, or Cout drop deep and weave past players looking for a pass than my CB or GK smashing it 60 yards out to the left wing to the big tall CM to hopefully control it all game yeah <ok>

Ahh, now he's a CM, when teams block you off you have to adapt, see Burnley etc who apparently don't play the game.

You weren't cutting out their midfield, you were just cutting our yours because the other option was to pass to Pogba or Carrick <whistle>

Clock is ticking on this and the keita transfer. Dortmund summed it up perfectly with regard to Auba.....clubs and coaches have to get on.
 
Looks like Robertson is going to happen for £8M. On the back of that Moreno will go and we'll have Milner and Robertson as left full backs.

It's solid but unspectacular, Milner was good last season until his legs went so with Robertson as a solid deputy it should improve Milners chances of lasting the season.

Robertson has pace and carry the ball up the pitch. Plus he won't cut in every 20 seconds so should give us more width.

As you say, it's a solid signing with potential to become a bargain. Worst case, we sell him in a couple of years for what we paid for him - by that point, football inflation would have risen so much that we would get £30m for him

In the last 18 months Jurgen Klopp has asked Lucas to stay on to provide some much-needed experience, despite interest from a number of clubs in Turkey and Italy, but has clearly decided not to stand in his way as he pursues regular first-team football elsewhere.
04:30: Arsenal are considering making a £45m move for key Liverpool target Virgil van Dijk.
Reports have suggested the Southampton centre-half only wants to leave St Mary’s for Anfield.
However, Express Sport understands Arsene Wenger is weighing up a bid.
Liverpool were favourites but had to cool their interest after the Saints’ official complaint over their approach.
Jurgen Klopp, though, could yet reignite a pursuit.

Rafa Benitez has already been rebuffed after he approached Liverpool about a loan for the 20-year-old.
Instead, The Sun say the Newcastle boss is ready to go in with a permanent offer to help try and bolster his squad.

Southampton defender Virgil van Dijk is reportedly adamant he only wants to play for Liverpool next season.

Jurgen Klopp looked to have missed out on Van Dijk as the Saints reported the Merseyside outfit for tapping up the 26-year-old centre-back – forcing an apology from the Reds.
However, the Media claim Van Dijk could still move to Anfield, with the Dutchman ready to hand in a transfer request at St Mary’s ahead of the 2017/18 campaign.
It’s understood he only wants to play for Liverpool next term despite Premier League rivals Manchester City also keen on a deal.

So then...

I expect Keita to be completed by Friday. It's looking more and more likely, which is very good news.

VvD won't happen yet (if it does). I expect this to drag on until the end of the window, which is bad as we won't have much time to get someone else.

Robertson will happen very soon.

We could do with a couple of good utility players to beef up the bench a bit too.

Vital times ahead in this window.
