Not when fellaini is thrown on to lump the ball to. How many times did he deploy that tactic??
Did you actually watch Fellaini play?
We didn't "lump the ball" up to him until the last 5 mins when we needed a goal (like when the keeper goes up for corners)
Most of the time he was very effective at breaking play up, winning and keeping possession, you wouldn't know that though because it isn't in your memo <ok>

Complete and utter lie.

Can't take anyone serious who just completely lies about what was seen by us all... consta toy.

I've watched him 'play' for years mate. He's sh*te and will be displaced when you (a) buy a decent midfielder and (b) don't need to use the long ball tactic as much as you did last year <ok>

Not at all. That was a hell yes, I've seen the donkey play <ok>

But hey, if he's what you want in your team, good luck to you!
Diego deserves felliani
I would like better but can't complain about his contribution. It's quite telling who go off the stereotype assessment and those who actually watch players. I would not be surprised to find out he was in the top 10 or even 5 of retaining possession in the PL last season and his break up of opposition attacks was also quite high.
Still, if all you see is a big man then fair enough. Ask the Southampton supporters about Lambert and his "target man" tag, they will laugh at you.

Diego just wants us to forget how Utd played twice against us. Acts like we can't have seen Utd and are plastic cos we dare call him on his blatant lies about Utd play last year.

I think those games are probably the two most defensive games I have ever seen from Liverpool.

Fellini was playing left wing st times in games for the big diagonal ball

Any idea why?

Because Mourinho didn't trust his wingers / wide forwards to do a job with the ball at feet and felt better tactic to go long to fellaini to bypass the midfield and win the knockdowns and try win the ball to then play in final third.

So because he kept possession and laid the ball off to another player then?

Where did I say controlled?

Well more just won a knock down and worked on % that another united player would pick up the lose ball. Legit tactic, never denied it didn't work, just not an interesting style to watch and that's the only reason fellaini, a holding midfielder would get into the team. Not really your typical left winger who excites the fans with quick wing play. Effective but not attractive.
