Giggs and Scholes it's impossible to argue that they weren't more important than Rooney. You could replace Rooney with any other decent forward and still win.

Oh.. and maybe Beckham should be there too.

Rooney was totally Ronaldo's bitch. It's ludicrous you think Rooney is better than Ronaldo. Same with RVN. RVN was above Rooney on pecking order when they both shared the team and a much more natural player. RVN could arguably have been said to be one of best forwards in league when playing. Only Henry was better.

I would say Ferdinand is more important and better, but defenders get no love.

I have a strong feeling you wouldn't be having such Rooney love if he wasn't your player.

Why? Giggs never scored more than 8 goals in any season since Rooney joined

I never said Rooney was better than Ronaldo, in fact quite the converse, try reading it again

I have a strong feeling you wouldn't be arguing the converse, if you weren't a bitter Kopite btw ;) Touche

Probably hasn't make the impact that some pundits were hoping for when he first started at Everton but that's because the media in this country always have unrealistic expectations. Set up to "fail".

I don't think beating Iceland was an "unrealistic expectation"

The football world was in a state of shock last night when news erupted that Bayern Munich star David Alaba could be on his way to Anfield.

The transfer, which is expected to cost €37 million, was leaked by key sources at the Allianz Arena.

'Alaba is looking to leave the club as soon as possible', remarked one source.

'He has his heart set on joining Liverpool, so I reckon that the deal will go through by the end of the week.'

Meanwhile, Arsenal fan and television presenter Piers Morgan caused controversy on Twitter when he told his followers that the Bayern left-back was not worth the €37 million.

'Liverpool must be mad to offer that price. Alaba has been utter crap this season.'
Think u sussed me out lmao
Seriously bored in this transfer window, figured i could do just as good a job as the pro reporters.
Dropped it and ran lmao<laugh><laugh><laugh>

Mo Salah won’t be playing at Prenton Park tomorrow - because of an immigration issue.

The Reds summer signing has to leave the United Kingdom, spend a few days elsewhere - then come back!

Jurgen Klopp tried to explain the issue - but didn’t sound overly convinced.

"Mo Salah is here in training but cannot play because of the rules, so that’s what we have to accept. We will try to get the working permission or the visa, I’m not sure what it is we need to get but we have to go to Paris and leave him there for a day or two and then he’ll come back. We are hopeful he can play soon."

FFS <laugh>

I'm not convinced anyone knows what the **** they're doing at our club.

Can't we get him to marry some lovesick granny from Essex? Happens every month according to The Mail.

No great loss, just keeps the deluded deluding for a bit longer...

james has joined bayern on 2 year loan.... real really tried to hawk that lad about... i take it real now have not got 120mil for mbappe.

Strange one. Would have thought they'd be able to sell him for £20-£30m to someone rather than loan him for 2 years and lose him for peanuts at the end.

Premier league clubs generated £3.6b last year. Sickening to think that despite all that, Costs to the fans are always increasing.

Just makes you wonder if one or two big clubs actually did something drastic and put a £15 limit on ticket prices would the rest be forced to follow? If Liverpool and united did it, how many parents would take their kids to those teams rather than other local rivals for example. Might say miss out of extra revenue but how much does the ticket prices really make up that revenue? A few hundred thousand each home game?

Fantastic idea but where would they all sit?
I know what you are getting at but the fact is that even with the ridiculous ticket prices (when you think that ticket revenue is almost irrelevant compared to other income) teams like United and Liverpool still sell out every week.
Doesn't really give the clubs incentive to lower prices.
