It seems to have gone quiet on the Kieta front. I hate having to accept we aren't quite at the top level anymore. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I'm not sure one way or the other on Can. Most of this season I was getting frustrated with him and not seeing any obvious improvement or
his overall game maturing. He did have a good end to the season though, seemed to put more energy in and we got more out of him.
If we get a good offer from Juve its a tough call, and dependent on incoming. If Lucas leaves and the doubts over Hendo's fitness persist, then
keeping Can would make more sense.

His good form seemed to coincide with being injury free.

We often criticise players for not playing through the pain barrier (Sturridge is classic example) but complain when they're not as good as normal. Coutinho was another who struggled after coming back from injury.

Has he even had that many games where he's stood out? <laugh>
I think they're after him on the basis of seeing his wonder-goal on YouTube - his agent's probably sent the link to every major club in the world. :)

Yes he has. Just because he doesn't dribble past 5 players and score from 30 yards doesn't means he's not a good midfielder.

He puts in an immense shift defensively and he's scored some very important goals this season. Above all else, he was the one who stood up when the rest of the team went to ****, and took responsibility.

If you rather have a team of choir boys, then maybe Can should leave. I'm sure Juve are making a big mistake by wanting to invest in him.

Disagree on Henderson. He was poor in the first season since he can't play in a midfield 2.

Shout on Lallana - id say Lallana in first half of season and Can second half.

This season has been Can breakthrough but i can't say he was the best.

Wiji has been underrated as well. Away he was anonymous but at home he has scored some important goals.

Wij is the only one who played the whole season.

I thought wij was underrated as well and he really stepped up against the bigger teams. But he really goes missing in the games against the lesser teams.

£50m-£70m for Van Dickface is a joke. Pretty sure it's PL tax bumped up by the fact that no PL club needs to sell because they're loaded!

Just buy someone established from abroad at half the cost (£25m, not £35m!)

Not sure I buy this 'coming back from injury' stuff with Can. Sure it takes most players time to get up to speed etc. after a spell out. But the majority of
the season?.......hmmm....
I'm prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt, but next season he needs to push on again.

Well he wasn't playing through the pain barrier was he? Yes he was on the pitch but it was effecting his game (in your opinion) so may add will have been on the physio table!

No doubt Klopp will be considering several options, if he feels vD's price is to high we will go elsewhere I'm sure

Stop it Jimmy, you'll only moan if I get sarky back.:emoticon-0172-mooni
We all watch the same games, and none of us are stupid - we just have different opinions.
How does my reticence about Can mean I'd rather have choir boys (I'm a saint, not a priest)? I'm not putting him down, but I think you've overrated his first season. He has shown far more influence on the game in the last couple of months and I definitely want him to stay and continue improvement.
Nobody knows a player as well as his own club and fans, so I don't really see what Juve have got to go on, other than the high profile stuff - I doubt they've watched him that much.

Crystal Palace legend Eddie McGoldrick has urged his club to do whatever they can to sign Mamadou Sakho permanently.

The 27-year-old moved to Selhurst Park on loan from Liverpool in January after being relegated to the Reds under-23s due to ill-discipline.

However, he managed to flourish for Palace, quickly becoming one of the vital players in securing the club’s eventual Premier League survival, before picking up an injury back in April.

It is understood that the Reds have set an asking price for at least £20million-£25million for the Palace fan favourite defender.
