I said earlier in the week that we won't sign anyone this week, and unfortunately I still feel the same way.

Let's hope I'm proved wrong!

I'm just referring to value and deserving their wages. They clearly don't.

And you say Lallana is a key player - who makes way for Salah?

Players should earn their place in the team, it's a squad game.

However, in response to your question; not Lallana since he's playing in midfield and Salah would be one of the two wingers.

I suspect Coutinho will move back to allow a front three of Mane, Firmino & Salah.

Could both Lallana and Coutinho play? When against relegation fodder, why not?

Can't see us being that attacking against better teams though but nor do I think Klopp will drop Lallana; he's key to the pressing.

He's not dropping Coutinho and we desperately lack a DM. So my guess would be Mane v Salah in tougher matches. They all pay in the others

It'll be good to have options

I think Lallana and Coutinho is too lightweight in midfield - we would need a Gini or a Keita as the box to box alongside a Lallana or Coutinho.

But as you say, we would have options.

Or Mane central and Salah wide right. Think Mane will play centrally a lot more this year.

4-3-3 would allow us to play a front 3 of Mane-Firmino-Salah with Coutinho in the midfield 3 with 2 others.

Salah may be a starter, but he also gives us options. I'm sure we would still see Coutinho play wide left at times and that is just what we need for once, options. How many times is it obvious what our team and style will be, because the 11 playing are the only 11 we would trust to play.
