It's a strong bench and come league cup/fa cup games were field a strong team with some younger lads not the u18's like this season.

Don't get me wrong the U23s imo would play in league cup next year... have to.

My other small request for klopp is if he's got a bench use the thing from 60mins more this year and protect assets more. we have to lessen the impact on our players and especially mind guys going off on internationals.

I agree. I think he leaves substitutions way too late a lot of the time.

It's just when we know an enlgand manager will play lallana for 90 mins +5 twice i na week and return him injured... or same for firmino/coutinho... or mane.

We need to mind those players. I know he's one game a week a lot but in december we had chances to rest and didn't.

Monaco ace Kylian Mbappe would be the perfect signing for Liverpool, according to former Red Vladimir Smicer.
Mbappe has enjoyed a breakthrough season in France, scoring 23 goals in 39 appearances to help Monaco climb to the top of Ligue 1.

Kylian Mbappe makes Monaco promise and sends message to Manchester United and Real Madrid

The 18-year-old also starred in the Champions League before his side’s memorable European campaign was ended by Italian giants Juventus.
The young striker has emerged as a target for a host of elite clubs, with Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid believed to be in a battle to secure his services.
Former Liverpool midfielder Smicer believes Liverpool should also attempt to sign Mbappe, suggesting the absence of a prolific forward cost the Reds a shot at the title this season.

That is true although I think at times since Xmas they have been token "break glass in emergency" substitutes. Just there for show and to comply with the rules.

or time wasting at end.

Hes not had many options but he's not wanted to use the ones he's had.

He will throw an lucas or klavan at it to shore up on 80 mins but he's not got much to change it and doesn't try to either... maybe this will change

I'm not just thinking about protecting them from injury, although that's obviously a factor - I'm thinking of his reluctance to change early enough when we're struggling to break through.
Maybe when we have a stronger squad then he'll be more inclined to use the bench a bit more.

Monaco have rejected a £64M (€75M) offer from Liverpool for their French wonderkid striker, Kylian Mbappe. [Marca] [HASHTAG]#LFC[/HASHTAG]

Hmm not sure how true that is. Don't see us signing him to be honest. Looks a real talent so wouldn't say no but would be huge price and big chunk of budget. To be fair could be the star CF we need though.

If we don't get him at least we can make sure whoever does pays the maximum and can't afford their 2nd choice as well

He seems like he'd be the perfect fit, a real pacy good finisher. Imagine the fun Coutinho and Bobby would have playing balls up to him...

The only slight worry would be he'll cost a fortune and he's only had one good season (obviously I haven't got a clue what he did at youth level).

**** it sign him. 70mil done!

VDV 50mil.

Keita 30mil.

Yes you are right.

Plan a is plan a but if its not working either you change the faces or you watch for a weakness and change our team tactically to exploit.

For example we got in behind southampton wide several times but could neither make a good run in box nor cross it.

Perhaps this 41212 formation was 2 weeks overdue coming out?

But if we get 4th then only complaint is oerhaps 3rd was lost cos we did not do something earlier

Sell 3 to buy 3. Sahko 30mil. Sturridge 40mil :bandit:

Only need to sell coutinho for 80mil to make it happen.

Seriously though.. after last years windows there SHOULD be 100mil in transfer funds... in theory.

The Anfield expansion must have affected our budget. We are now planning to spend £50m on the academy/training ground and then the next section of the stadium expansion too.
