Season is screwed now, we won't win anything. Save the money to summer where we can spend it more wisely. Buying now won't make much of a difference.

I'd rather have a great summer than a mediocre January and a mediocre summer.

Should have lined up at the start of Jan, especially as we knew Mane was off to the ACOFN. Also despite the high first half of the season there was still problems (mainly in defence), could have addressed this as well.

Now we've missed the opportunity and any buy would be expensive desperation. But the 'not buying in Jan' has hurt us this season.

Yeah, if we were going to make transfers best do it at the beginning of the window before the deadline day inflation starts.

I agree we need recruits but I don't think it's as drastic as you (and others) put it.

I still maintain that midfield is the problem. I said s much in the summer, although admittedly I wanted a LB more back then.

A solid DM would make a world of difference to our defence. Add a playmaker that controls the game tempo (I'm thinking the Alonso mould here) and we'd be a different team entirely.

Like you, I could give a case for replacing every player atm but that's not going to happen and is probably a over reaction to recent events.

I agree. Rewatch second goal lads and watch lucas run towards the ball on edge of thier box totally taking himself out of it.

Total nonsense.

The midfield was disgraceful v swansea and southampton and today as well. They are being run through and nobody takes and leadership or responsibility.

You will note today gomez and klavan were left to themselves for whole of first jalf til klopp took randall off.

Had the dm sat between the two cbs all game we would have had no issues.

Headless chicken the lot of them.

Leicester have rejected a £38m bid from some Chinese club for that Slimani fella <yikes>

I'd snap their hands off if they bid £38m for Sturridge.

Why don't they bid for any of our **** players for?!

Slimani is part of their problem this season. Last year they played counter attacking football but that isn't Slimani's style.

I'm surprised he hasn't snapped their hand off, that's crazy money for someone who's done **** all for them as well.
 
Hopefully this January has shown the glaring weaknesses still in our squad - without our first choice attack who provide crazy levels of protection, the midfield simply aren't good enough and the defence are exposed.

Pacy wide man, a CM like Dahoud that can run with the ball and pass, and a deep lying playmaker that can pick up the ball from defence and play through the lines and spread it out wide to the full backs.

A LCB to partner Matip.
