Real Madrid are hot on the tails of Liverpool starlet Peter Chirivella, after their scouts identified him as a player of huge potential.
According to Spanish daily Marca, Los Blancos are now keen to acquire the 17-year-old midfielder, who has captained the Reds’ Under 17 team in the past, and is now playing a role in the reserve setup. Despite not yet being a well-known name on Merseyside he is tipped for a bright future, and Madrid are said to have been impressed with the speed of his development at Anfield.
Signed last year from Valencia, Chirivella has already made serious headway with regards to forcing his way into the club’s long-term plans. It’s said that Brendan Rodgers already has him training with the first-team squad a few times a week, where his compatriots Alberto Moreno, Jose Enrique and Javier Manquillo are helping him to settle in.
