why should LFc pay a guy to smile and joke about the dressing room... he has to be able to play and his time is clearly something thats in the past.
It just says it all about how poor we are now... in the past guys who could not run were thanked for their service. now we are bricking it about experience.

The thing we've seen is given a regular berth he got himself fit. but i can remember him coming in to cups games and being totally unfit and stiff legged then getting injured. Back up has to be actually able to play
LFC have Lovern, sahko, matip... we only need one more and we've not shifted skertl. We will have gomez and wisdom will be back... (some will leave)
My view is the reality is we are not in europe so we might have only 40 games to play this year... worst case.... we really don't need him.

Toure got us out of a hole several times last season when we had issues for various reasons with what should've been starting CBs
At times he rolled back the years and looked pretty formidable but he was never going to be in Klopp's long term thinking, quite rightly, at 35 he's very much not the future
For all his great turns though it was obvious he is leggy and not the most mobile although he made some great stops and tackles after running back or on the stretch this obviously isn't something he could do week in week out; his best attributes were his brain, experience and his positioning but if, as happened, a quick player out-foxed him or left him standing there was a pretty big hole opened up between our back line and Mignolet
Sure he might've been a source of positivity and togetherness in the dressing room but it's down to some of the main players in the squad to take that role now, either players already at the club or new ones eventually, or maybe Klopp feels that that's his job knowing his personality

He'd have barely played last season barring injury and as you say many less games to factor in for next season. He'd have been a spare part.
Its about time that some "senior players" stood up and acted like senior players by taking responsibility. see henderson, lallana etc.. they should be setting the standard not hiding like the big final.
Toure can't do that from the sideline. we need it on the pitch.
