lol are you sure about that? He did look like the next big thing at leverkusen but he plays more like a wing forward with no defensive responsibility and got quite a few goals. Came to us and didn't get that many game but had a knack of scoring goals off the subs bench but failed to shine as a starter (probably as i said hasn't scored many). He joined wolfsburg last year mid jan i think (according to ESPN and only played 7 matches). This year he's played 26 in the bundesliga and has 6 goals and 3 assists. Wolfsburg are way underperforming and are currently 10th in the league!. They did alright in the champs league though. As for playing for Germany, i was quite shocked when he provided the winning assist for Gotze in the final, but Schurlle is a perenial bench player and doesn't make the starting 11 that even Mesut Ozil is the preferred winger (dunno who the other one is, Reus? but hes always injured probably Gotze). Saying that he has got a good record for germany, 20 goals in 50 caps.
It could just be very lazy journalism anyway. The German link etc. etc. etc. Any German player will get linked to us, I expect stories like this on a daily basis. I'd take someone that has 20 goals in 50 starts for Germany though, and let's be honest Jose did let a lot of good players leave. He bought one back and 2 spring to mind that would be nailed on starters now. Who know's with this one tbh. It's certainly someone that seems to fit what we're after.
true. I mean ok Cheslea bought willian on right side attack and he's been their best player by far this year... so be bruyne and shurrle also appear to suit that side. in the end... lfc have ibe, lallana and maybe firmino as right side and its not working so the link would appear logical by a presser if nothing else
TBF, it's irrelevant what it did at Chelsea or anywhere else for that matter. It's about how he'd fit in with us. Would he improve us? Would he make us a better team? IMO he's got that drive, that desire that we often lack plus he can finish. Would I go all out to get him? Probably not. £12m tops
Yeah... it's hard to say but I'd be confident he's better than hoping markovic is bothered or how it's shown for us. Lallana only plays well at most once a week and you can really see him drop off second golf of games if two per week. Firmino is not a right side player. So.... can schurrle defend in Klopp's system? I dunno... but he's better than our lot now.
A minor transfer in the scheme of things but http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-fc-snap-up-young-11244189 City let a 16 year old go Diego Lattie... apparently a wee red at 16 and supposedly life long fan. plays england u17 and is RB. I think at this age he'd qualify as club trained.
Hector looking likely? http://metro.co.uk/2016/04/26/jonas...erpool-transfer-talks-confirms-agent-5842997/
From what I've seen he's much more defensive than Moreno, which being a defender is probably quite useful! Full German International. Solid LB that will probably get a fair bit of interest in the summer... Would definitely be an upgrade.
**** knows... if he's signed then he's got to show it. all we can say is that moreno in this team is gash..
Liverpool owner’s wife Linda Pizzuti hints club is set for £700million takeover please log in to view this image GOSSIP Tom Olver for Metro.co.ukWednesday 20 Apr 2016 10:46 pm 136 reports surfaced that the Merseyside outfit were being lined up for for a £700million Middle Eastern takeover by a ‘secret’ Sheikh billionaire. Many dismissed the speculation but after the Reds’ convincing 4-0 victory over bitter rivals Everton, Pizzuti’s tweet suggested there may be some truth to the rumours. ‘Emphatic derby victory! Clean sheet, 4 goals, dominant. LFC has been an exciting club,’ Pizzuti tweeted. The use of the word ‘has’ rather than ‘have’ sent many supporters into meltdown… However, Pizzuti was quick to dispel the confusion and explained that her wording had been misinterpreted… Read more: http://metro.co.uk/2016/04/20/liver...or-700million-takeover-5830625/#ixzz471tfLqaO
RR has been poor this season, Hector has been better. Hector is a proper defender and decent in attack. Will add solidity and physicality to the back line.
I'd still rather have RR But you're probably right that Hector is more consistent.... tbh either will do
