Wenger is the only manager who does that?
 
The Independent claiming that Wenger still has hopes of signing Morata. And that the reason we haven't actually moved on the Lacazette front is that he is not our first choice.
 
OK then Mr. Wenger, time to stop giving unwanted opinions on other clubs transfer dealings and concentrate on your own.
No more dithering, we need 2 or 3 new players, pronto!

I actually think expecting Wenger to bring more players in is delusional. It's sad that it's come to this, but I honestly feel we will start the season with the squad we have now. I'd be surprised if we make more additions at this stage.
 
Soo looks like it will be another last minute scramble for cheap deals while our rivals are signing World Class players.<steam>

I have a feeling we will sign a CB....however...all the work involved with that means I can see us not buying a striker in the end, thus we will essentially be in the same place as last season...

Why have United spent (net) more than double what we have in the last five years when their revenue is only about 20% higher than ours?

Remember though that in their quest for trophies (that we clearly don't strive for), their problem is that they haven't always got top 4 in the last few years which, as Wenger defenders always remind us, is vital. Because CL gives you the money and the esteem to attract top players and managers that non-CL clubs like United just wouldn't be able to do. Compare all those players we've attracted with our CL money for example (you know, that one outfield first teamer, Xhaka, we've signed in the last two years) with how much United have struggled in the transfer market. Without CL there's no way United are able to attract a top class manager or spend £250m on transfers and wages in one single window.
 
Why dont we splash the cash on Marquinhos or Varane (not really first choice yet)?! Many good CB available.....but I guess we will get Evans instead!?

Varane is very much first choice, you would probably have to sell Ozil and Sanchez to afford him.
