Can't see the logic in buying Vardy. You and Leicester couldn't be further away in style of play, and Vardy suits quick counter attack with balls over the top and behind the defence to run onto.
I really hope this deal does not happen.. It smacks of desperation, he is not international quality. It would be a joke signing.guys....jamie vardy...

everyone is reporting it now too. People saying it will be done by this weekend...

Not denying he did well for Leicester, I hope you see where I am coming from, he is simply not an Arsenal type player. I just cannot see him playing for Arsenal. I hope this is a wind up.Well he was one of the leading scorers in the league, finishing with 24 goals, scored 3 goals in 8 internationals and is the Football Writers Association's Player of the Year, so at the very least you have to say he's better than what we've got. And he's got better stats than Morata...

Ridiculous signing if true. Not the striker we need at all. He's had one good season at the top level (which could easily have been a fluke) at the age of 29. Unless we're planning on sitting deep and playing counter-attacking football, Vardy wouldn't be of any use.
I'll be extremely underwhelmed if this goes through.
What is an 'Arsenal type' player? And what have we achieved with these 'Arsenal type' players, exactly? Not winning the league, that's for sure. Vardy is different, he offers something dramatically different to Giroud, he constantly runs in behind and as shown last season, can finish. For the price, in this current market, it's not a massive risk to take. Not denying he did well for Leicester, I hope you see where I am coming from, he is simply not an Arsenal type player. Craziness! Just hope this isn't the only forward we bring in.guys....jamie vardy...

I have a horrible feeling that he may prove to be a one season wonderRidiculous signing if true. Not the striker we need at all. It would be a very surprising transfer to make if we signed Vardy. But why not ? He's scored a bucket load against just about every other premier league team so he's proved himself in his league. I'd rather spend £20m on Vardy than £50m on morata.
I would much rather we spent £50 million on Morata than £20 million on Vardy.
Personally I see Vardy as competition for Giroud. He's basically a different option that can also play wide - In other words he's Wengers replacement to the injured Wellbeck.
With Vardy in the side Giroud is still going to be starting ALOT of games. We should be brining in a World Class CF to replace Giroud who is simply not good enough to be first choice at an elite Club.
would that be the Giroud that has just score his 3rd goal in 1.5 games for France?
