How messed up is Liverpool's transfer strategy? They just seem to sign loads of players (mostly from Southampton) and then hope they all click. Good news for us is that we play them early on in the season when they are trying to get all their new players to fit into their system.

There are many clubs where the managers has no say in sales/purchases Madrid being probably the highest profile. The trick is to get a manager who is good enough to get the best out of the players he has, much easier at a club like Madrid where the players are all top quality and picked by someone with an idea of how teams work.

The rumours of Vidal continue. So I wonder if this has any substance or the media continue to spead one big lie after another. The Metro now report that its almost "90% done". Where do they get this stuff from?!?!

Edit :- A Spanish media outlet called COPE are the ones who are reporting that the deal is 90% done.Some are saying they are a reliable source

It seems to me in this time of 'click bait' and reduced budgets/staff in newspapers/media companies, that they will just tweet/repost anything without checking it 1st.
With this story, apparently a guy just made up the story and tweeted it, saying that Hernan Feler had reported on a Chilean radio station that Vidal to Arsenal was a done deal. Apparently since he may have broken the Sanchez story, this gives him inside knowledge on our and Vidal's transfer dealings.
For some reason Feler retweeted, and then every news organisation in the world seemed to pick it up, sourcing Feler without ever checking their source or facts. I suppose they know, whatever happens, that they'll get lots of clicks, reposts and shares, which gives them lots of money in advertising, and if it comes out their wrong, then nobody will remember.
