He can gloat all he wants. Wenger is on the verge of stuffing up another transfer window. He should have left after the FA Cup win when he had a shred of respectability left.
Not really gloating to be honest.
Just observing the fact that there have been so many strikers moving this summer. Remy had a £10m release clause, why did he not put in a bid.
Costa had a release clause but it was pretty much nailed on from before the world cup that we were getting him,#
but still, did he not at least enquire about Remy, Falcao, Balotelli etc.
He obviously didn't either because he is claiming your current striker options are fine.....if he think that then he has serious problems.
He is completely insane! I have no idea what has happened to Wenger. This is the guy that bought us Anelka,Thierry Henry and Van Persie.
But its been a good 10 years since he invested in a TOP quality striker.
Its like he is building a huge collection of players for that can play in Attacking Midfield or Wing Forward positions but the rest of the squad he has no interest in.

We have a large squad its true but they basically all play the same position.
Its getting f**ing ridiculous. We have two genuine No.9's in our squad one of which is Sanogo the other is injured until the new year.
How can anyone defend Le Boss at this point.
To be honest I wasn't expecting a striker after all of Wenger's talk of having enough players to play there. But really, no one can justify the deadline day fiasco of not buying a CB. Even the ultra-Wengerites can't justify such a late in the day approach for a CB. This should have been wrapped up a couple weeks ago when every man and his dog knew that Vermaelen wanted out a couple of months back. He really is super casual for a position that is so important for us. Any injury by one of our 2 CBs and its us turning to a 19 year old Chambers. The guy needs a couple of seasons to get blooded, he shouldn't be an immediate candidate for first choice CB. Whats worse it's heavily rumoured that we've sold our other CB Ignasi Miquel to Norwich.
My last post was a piss take but according to Matt Law of the Telegraph we have been sounded out about taking Defoe on loan 
Ha ha ha would be f**ing typical. Would also prove my theory that Wenger basically only signs one kind of player these days.
World Class - Yes.
Does he play as an AMF/WF - Yes.
Do we need him - No.
