Primarily a bog standard CM I believe though has done DM work. Basing this on twitter mind so can be wrong! Everything about him screams at it being a standard Wenger signing which means it'll either happen or it's the media putting 2+2 together and coming up with 5!
 
Rabiots not a DM just a straight up tall skillfull playmaker.

If we didn't need Fabregas why do we need an inexperienced French midfielder who plays the same role?
 
Such a shame - I always thought he was decent - just a mid table/bottom of Prem keeper as opposed to what we needed, a top 4 keeper. And he seemed to have found a good place at Watford, which is why I was surprised when they signed Gomis, I didn't realise Almunia was going to sign for Cagliari as I thought he may have signed for a slightly better side. But I suppose lucky he had the medical and the problem was identified, otherwise he could have carried on playing in ignorance until something bad happened...
 
Sad to hear the news about Almunia. He wasn't the greatest goalkeeper but he was a great servant if the club: never complained, always had a smile, and he put up with all the hate, some of which was undeserved, he got from the fans. Hope he has a full recovery.
 
**** hair though. Weirdly, I found out that a girl I work with fancied him. Now A that seems a weird choice and B she's stunning with possibly the best tumblers I've ever seen!

Should probably put them in touch if I can, I imagine he could do with the pick-me-up!
 
Bad news about Almunia, the guy is still young and looks healthy, it just goes to show how fragile we are. I wish him a long and healthy life <ok>

Probably not the best idea as he has a heart condition!
 
The thing is, Arbeloa is predominantly a full back isn't he? Wouldn't we be better off looking for an actual centre back? (not to mention a DM and CF......)

According to @MiguelDelaney, Monaco have told Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus and Real Madrid they can take Falcao on loan for &#8364;20 million.

Thats what i was wondering. Chambers and Arbeloa can fight it out to pressure our first choice RB and CB's. Even though they may primarily play as RB's they can both play centrally and it'd mean we have at least 4 players able to play at CB and depth at RB incase of injuries.

It'd be a good signing i think. We definitely need to add another defender.

Then just get a loan deal in place with Falcao and sign Khedira on deadline day <whistle>
