If he hadn't made an enquiry he would have just said 'No' like he did to the question about whether he'd made an offer.

I don't think he would be happy to sit on the bench... so one of Koscielny or Mertesacker would be benched IMO. I don't see it happening, but you never know.
 
Bfg would need to be the one benched as youd need kos' pace. But as bfg is being mooted as our captain and bfg/kos formed such a great partnership then I xant see this happening
 
Rumours are the Vermaelen to Barcelona could be announced in the next couple of days.

Plenty of rumours about a £24 Million bid for W Carvalho.

Always hard to judge players in the Portuguese league but he does look like a class act. Tall, powerful, technically skilled and a very good ball winner.
 
AC Milan are refusing to give up on their bid to sign Arsenal forward Joel Campbell on loan despite Arsene Wenger's declaration that the Costa Rican ace will not be loaned out this season, according to the Gazzetta dello Sport.

I really hope Wenger stays firm with his commitment of JC. We really need the strength in depth in the CF position as Sinogo looks like another injury prone player after he looked injured after Saturdays friendly.

On a side note, the Khedira rumours are resurfacing again.

Meh disagree. Football is better when those sorts of tackles are allowed.

The sport has become way too soft IMO.
 
That wasn't a particularly bad tackle. A player will get a cheer when they foul a showboater at any club, just how it is

I would be happy with either of them.

If we did sign Khedira I get the feeling it wouldn't be until deadline day

For me Flamini was also entertaining - just a different sort of entertainment.

But I agree, bit harsh for being a friendly.
