I pointed this out a few weeks ago, RVP is on 250k a week allegedly. So unless he was willing to take a 50% pay cut he will not be returning to us, or moving to any other club, im not sure even city or Chelsea would pay him that. Would he really accept such a pay cut? So it could be that his own greed has lead him to be trapped at old Trafford.

Allegedly is right. I doubt he's earning that much at United.

Even if he is the guy is 100% better than any of our current CF's. He'll score twice as many goals so he's probably worth double the pay check.

I would prefer Falcao or Cavani but RVP is world class when he's fit.

Ok, where to start with this...

Line 1 - there could be a ton of different reasons we didn't get a striker. The most likely being that a striker of the quality we are after wasn't available. January is notoriously difficult for getting the deals you want done. And how the hell would you know how long it takes to get deals done and what goes on behind the scenes?

Line 2 - again your just deciding you know what goes on behind the scenes. We have no idea what the reason is for us not getting signings in.

Line 3 - given that wenger went in for strikers in the summer it would suggest he knows he needs another striker which kind of makes your point nonsense. He is obviously still interested in competing and his judgement is clearly not gone, the flamini and ozil signings plus the faith shown in Ramsey are a few recent examples of wengers judgement still being of top quality.

Line 4 - what a load of bollocks. So wenger didn't sign a striker so now he isn't a top manager anymore, forget his entire career, he hasn't signed a striker so he is done at the top, we may as we'll throw him in a skip...

Honestly some people go so over the top lol, it's almost comical.

This is just rose-tinted blind faith.

Wenger has a solid history of bulking at the chance to strengthen in January.
-Remember Arshavin playing up front as our loan striker for 5 matches??
-Remember when Eduardo got injured and we had to reply on a certain Danishman. Causing our title bid and Champions league run to come crashing to a halt?

His reasoning is that players are not available for reasonable prices at this time of year and he is right. Prices ARE inflated.

But how much is a Premierleague title worth?

We have more than enough funds to land a quality addition to our strike force. January is not ideal but then it should have been done in the Summer.
Indeed, according to a report on Arsenal’s website, the club have £120.6million worth in unspent money – and that doesn’t even include the club’s safety net money of £22million which is used to cover any unforeseen debts.

The extra cash came from increased sponsorship money, including a renewal of their Emirates kit sponsorship, while a number of other partners have also joined the team.

Bayern, Athletico, Barca, Real, City, PSG, Dortmund, Liverpool etc.. don't seem to have a problem stregthening when they have an OBVIOUS whole in their squads.

Somewhow.. despite the regularity, whenever it happens at Arsenal..it is NEVER the mangers fault.

In the summer we did literally everything people wanted except gets back-up striker. We signed a gk a dm an ozil, got rid of the deadwood, signed our key players to long contracts and didn't lose anyone. It was a great summer. Had the ba deal gone through we would have had ok backup up top. I know he isn't the player we all want but it would have meant when'd giroud is struggling for form we have another option.

So I don't think ozil is the reason people will give wenger the benefit of the doubt. I think they give him the benefit of the doubt because he did everything right except missing out on a striker which e obviously tried to address as well. Also the fact that after the summer we have spent most of the season sitting top probably goes some way to justify people's faith.

We are all in agreement that we need another striker option and to me it's obvious wenger is in agreement as well. It's a shame we haven't managedtoget a deadlines utilized. Haven I doubt in summer we will bring in another striker. As football fans we want everything right now, but sometimes it takes time to build something special!

Despite numerous posts and evidence to the contrary you just can't seem to accept a striker was needed last summer - you're making excuses for Wenger's inactivity - the Suarez bid was a joke IMO, it was never going to happen and meanwhile, Higuain, who would have been a superb signing, went off to Napoli.....

"We are all in agreement that we need another striker option" Erm?

Micah Richards anyone if Sagna leaves?
Still young, very experienced, right back by trade but can cover CB. Great athlete & I'm sure he's said he's an Arsenal fan before.

God no. He is thick as ****. If Sagna goes, then Seamus Coleman or Lukas Piszek would be my choices in terms of replacement. Coleman has been immense this season, and love his style.

I like Richards think he's a TOP right back. Someone needs to convince him he's not a Centreback though.

Coleman would be my first choice though.

Richards looks to have p*ssed all his potential away. One hell of an athelete, fast, strong and quite technical. Sadly, as pointed out, he doesn't seem to be the brightest as has made some poor choices. Eiffel-towering a girl with a friend and filming it being a particular highlight...

Also, suffered from numerous injuries. Ha, watch us sign him up :(

Richards would be decent, and seeing as he's back up he would be willing to move. Having said that, I'm confident Jenkinson will quickly surpass him in terms of footballing ability, so I'd like someone better than that. Who we can get is up to Wenger. Maybe Debuchy?

sounds like a good room mate for Giroud, they could film each other !

lets be honest we are all jealous, £100k a week to play football and you get to shag top birds even if you are as thick as ****. just look at Shrek at Manure £300k a week and he still is ****ing ugly as hell with zero personality, if he was anything other than English we would all pelt him.

Does Rooney get to shag top birds? Old ones maybe, whilst his wife was pregnant & I don't rate her much either.

According to Guillem Balague,Morata has agreed to join us.It just needs a fee to be agreed between Arsenal & Fascist Madrid

A permanent deal for him would be quite a coup.
Scored quite a few goals for Real Madrid B, and has basically a goal a game for Spains U19 and U21 sides.

Tall, strong, exactly the type of striker we play with atm.

I like someone with a little bit more technical ability someone who can dribble with the ball and make opposition players think a bit more.
Morata at the moment is just like the rest of our strikers no technical ability with the ball on the floor.

you mean someone like Podolski, who just doesn't work in our system. when teams sit back and defend against us with 10 men, we need someone with presence up front to bounce the ball off of. a striker who likes to dribble the ball would turn into an extra midfielder when we attack. completely pointless.

What like Suarez and Aguero?
