So if you do beat us on Sunday but sign no one and Wenger comes out with the fact that he felt he couldn't get anyone to improve the squad, would you accept that and get behind him again or be massively pissed off and still want him out (the Wenger out brigade)?
I'm leaning towards the 'Wenger out brigade'.(but the Boss may still change my mind)
We now have ALL the resources needed to compete with Europes big Clubs. (Stadium, Scouting/youth setup, International fanbase and of course CASH) If Wenger cant get us back challenging with the TOP teams then its worth giving someone else a chance.
There's nothing holding him back. With £155 Million in the bank if he cant find players who can improve this squad then I would suggest he's no longer the TOP manager he once was.
One win does not make a successful season. Even the most optimistic here would say if we don't bring reinforcements in then we are up ****s creek. Our squad has never been this dangerously low.
this may come as a surprise to you but some of us do not rate the beating of spurs as the minimum achievment for a season .
It had been the minimum the last few years so that's why I asked the question. It wasn't a wum but a genuine question as to whether you will cut him some slack after you have qualified for the champions league again for the 16th year running and best your closest rivals.
Doubt it very much. It all started off by the moronic "we have £70m to spend" comment. It gave everyone hope and expectation, so if this goes pear shaped, the stupid management have themselves to blame. They should have kept quiet!

I do get your frustration Lazarus. As has been said many times and you all know, you have everything in place to be one of the top clubs challenging for all the major trophies. You already are a top club but you know what I mean!
Surely you can appreciate some of our signings we have made would have improved your team/squad? And I am not that blinkered a Spurs fan to think if Arsenal really went for one of these players it's very likely they would choose you over us. It's weird why it's left so much to the last minute. You have a great first team and probably a good bench when everyone is fit so it just needs 3-4 really good signings and you would be serious contenders for all the major trophies. I may be jumping the gun and you are doing a load of business now. Time will tell!

Only the clinically insane would think that some of your signings wouldn't improve our first team squad. I would happily take Lamela, Saldado, Paulinho and Capoue.

There is still time left and a lot may depend on the Bake deal. It would be pretty galling Madrid buying him and then the collateral is you get strengthened as well so lose/lose for us.

Not happening, they all want to try and get into the Real Madrid team and it's debatable if we are after them. The rumours have been very speculative.

I seriously think that the management are so so convinced that Arsenal can finish 4th WHATEVER sh1t happens , that they are pushing the envelope now to try and acheive it after selling a dozen players and buying just the one ..

While Arsene and Gazidis mess about with Flamini (£75,000pw- WTF is he smoking?) and Cabaye, the spuds have bought in Lamela and are finalising a deal for Eriksen for about £10 million YES £10 million while we will lend up paying £15-20 million for Cabaye WTF!!!

Sometimes it amazes me how we keep on getting that 4th place. Last season we went on an unbelievable run to get that 4th place and beat Spurs by 1 point. This season will be more open and difficult than the last.
