Roma have confirmed the sale of Erik Lamela to Spurs for £30 million. They have a very strong squad now, even without Bale. I wonder who exactly are the 'special' signings Wenger has in mind. 5 days to go and still no money spent. Wenger better pull something pretty ****ing special out of his hat or bye bye CL I fear . . .

The squad is stronger but the first team is weaker.

Arsenal are going to be strong even without new signings, but they won't be contenders. Given Spurs had no real chance but to sell Bale they've done some good business replacing him. Lamela is quality and I like the look of Paulinho. He killed us in the CWC last season. Powerhouse midfield but still not much creativity.

Rumours from Holland are suggesting that a deal for Eriksen is nearing completion. Probably shouldn't have mentioned that to a Chelsea fan. <yikes>

Ozil can confirm whatever he likes - If Madrid decide he is surplus to requirements then in a WC year i can see him being convinced to move.

It'll probably depend how much Madrid want to recoup after there record breaking move for Bale and how much they get offered for a few of there players, to who they let go.

That makes absolutely no sense, how has their first team become weaker? So you're saying Bale is so good that the combined effect of new players Soldado, Lamela, Paulinho, Capoue and Chadli will not make them better? You talk about creativity, but what do you think Lamela is? They are also chasing the signing of Eriksen that will add even more strength to their already powerful midfield and add more creativity to their midfield. There is no denying that Spurs have become a more dangerous team selling Bale and bringing those new boys in.

It's not pointless to sack him. The season is a write off, we won't win anything and I doubt we will finish 4th. Get the new man in so he has a year to get to know his squad and enforce his ethos.

This statement is just utter bollox.

no but it might make the NEXT one a success.

tick tock tick tock ............another window , another big fat nothing .... . :cheesy:

what a surprise.

Or rather than jumping the gun like impatient little kids wait until the window actually closes and then make a decision.

I honestly cant think of many more stupid suggestions than to sack the manager a fewdays before the transfer window closes when he is trying to bring players in.

wtf....

A discussion started about firing Wenger immedietly... you said it would make the next transfer window a success.... i said it was stupid to panic-sack the man just before a transfer window closes.... you reply talking about how its wenger in charge....

I can make no sense of what the point of your post was and am now totally confused....

Ok. Let's try again.

The discussion was around whether Wenger should be fired immedietly. My view was that no decision of that sort should be made prior to the transfer window closing.

What is it that your struggling to understand here? It seems to me like your being pedantic as if im trying to suggest its the fans who decide when a manager is sacked? If thats the angle your taking then your just a ****** :P
