Well, Bernard got 120 minutes last night vs. Olimpia. If he doesn't come to London for a medical tomorrow then my trust in Brazilian transfer gossip has taken an almighty wallop.

Bernard’s agent Adriano Spadoto appeared to confirm as much, with a Facebook message that read: ‘Negotiations with Tottenham and Dortmund have cooled, due to the high asking price.’

But an imminent breakthrough for Arsenal appeared to be on the cards, as Spadoto then wrote on Twitter: ‘Congratulations Bernard. Double winner! Confederations Cup, Libertadores .. the perfect farewell.’

This guy is not being bought as a midfielder IMHO, he is going to end up in the front 3. If we get him, I can see the Suarez pursuit dying. We may just play this guy like Barcelona play Messi, off Theo's spot on the right. He is very like Cazorla, maybe a bit more attacking. Same 2-footed ability. I watched some videos, I think he is right-footed, but I'm not sure.
