Yeah, I'd like to think that should our bid for Suarez fail and that Higuain and Rooney are no longer options, that Soldado would be the next realistic choice.

Giroud cost £12m. Soldado is not worth £26m and you wouldn't get £14m worth more in talent than Giroud if you bought him.

Rumours are that we have bid 40m plus 1 for Suarez. It's in the Guardian tomorrow. Can anyone explain to me why the extra pound is necessary? No jokes.

If Cesc goes to United, I see Fellaini going to Arsenal. Otherwise, Fellaini to Man U. In other words, I imagine Moyes and Wenger have agreed not to block each other bidding for their preferred players to fill particular positions of need.

I would consider it a great summer, in spite of Cesc joining RVP at manu, if Arsenal secure Suarez, Fellaini, and Bender.

How about y'all?

If Cesc goes to Utd i won't care what we do in the rest of the window and i'll find it hard to have any interest in football at all for a while

Apparently his clause stated any offer over £40M will be accepted which is why we bid an extra £1 <laugh>

This whole clause thing is intriguing, Liverpool seem adamant it's not a release clause, but why the **** would anyone bother with a clause that you have to inform the player a bid has been placed if it's over a set amount, seems like the most pointless clause I have ever heard.

Y'all are a tough crowd! I would hate to see Cesc go to Man U, also. But as others have said, for Man U to keep making bids, there has to be some glimmer of hope for them. I think it's naive to think that there have been no communications with the player or his agents. Is the saying, "Where there's smoke, there's fire" as popular in England as in the USA?

Spoke to Suarez camp on Mon - wants & expects to be at a CL club next season. #Afc interest him but other options, in no rush to decide #lfc

Ornstein has spoken!!!

haha! setting up your excuses to carry on hating, just in case we make a big signing.....

Nothing to do with making excuses, even if we cleaned up every trophy in our path, the sight of Cesc in a United jersey would still sicken me.

I'd be gutted to see cesc in a utd shirt, but to say you wouldn't care if we signed suarez, gustavo and bernard because of that just smacks of childish tantrums.
