Rumours of a £24.5 Million bid for Jovetic.

Seems like alot of money. Would be a good signing though.
 
Lewandowski has moneybags clubs after him, same as Falcao and cavani, they arnt realistic targets

Does seem high, he seems to be highly regarded though. Torn over this one because it would be refreshing to see some willingness to pay the going rate for a top player on the one hand, but if we were to do it, I'd prefer us to do it for an established top player rather than a 'maybe'. What does everyone else think?
 
£25 mill does seem like alot for a player who has only really shown glimpses of his talent.

I certainly think Jovetic could become a World beater but he needs to be ALOT more consistent. At that price he is a risk.

Lewandowski would be a great signing though, I agree.
 
I am not excited about Jovetic. His record suggests something like £15 ml rather than £25 ml
Higuan has at least proved himself and could be available for £20 ml.
 
Yaya Sanogo confirmed on SSN that he will be linking up with Arsenal. I look forward to seeing what he can produce. Or he might go out on loan to another club, get some PL experience first. In any case, that's one signing just about completed already.

Jovetec is the first choice but Fiorentina are adament on their valuation of him (£30m or thereabouts) so I expect AW is testing their resolve by enquiring about others.
Of all those we're linked with I'd prefer not to have Villa, high price tag for a guy with 3/4 years left at the top and coming back from serious injury.

They have both scored 14 in the league. Higuain has a better rate of a goal every 112 minutes compared to Vela's 187, but Vela has more assists and of course Higuain plays for Real Madrid which may be considered an advantage.

There is also the feeling that Higuain is better suited to the PL than Vela, but they are both good I grant you.
 
Sky Italia are saying Jovetic's agent has been in London all day and that the player is due to fly in tomorrow for a medical.

Fiorentina's asking price of £24.5 Million (30 million Euros) has apparently been met.


Good old Twitter- who knows just how true this all is.

Hope we can get them to knock a few million off the price. I'm all for splashing cash, just not on the wrong players. We're better than that.
