Bah, remember being shouted on by Piskie and the like that a LB was a priority before the season started. Season could have seriously been different without all the shambolic goals and actions we allow through the left regularly.

And I say you're talking bollocks <ok> If you'd read my posts you would know that when Vermaelen played at LB I called for us to sign some cover for Gibbs

I think he is right. So forget Villa (for now).

It would be great to sign Villa but hopefully there is a last minute deal for a DM - that is something we really need!
 
@:gent - i was one of the people sayign we didn't need to strengthen at LB. Santos had been very good for us last season until his injury and Gibbs had stepped up his game massively. Between the two i thought the competition would result in one or both stepping up there game and makign the LB spot there own. Gibbs has stepped up and done well but Santos looks unfit and uninterested. It's a shame as i think he has a lot of talent, but he is letting it go to waste and simply not playing well enough.

I'm pleased we are bringing in a LB.

Let's hope there is still more to come! If not i still think we have what it takes to get top 4, but an addition or two would be very helpful in a tight fight for CL football.
 
Diame transfer is on sky. an offer to trigger the release clause. the buying club has not been named.

By the way Monreal is brilliant and rated as one of the best in La Liga.
