M'Vila being heavily linked with QPR

The big clubs still don't seem to be interested, can't just be because of his antics

Very strange situation with Mivila you begin to wonder how good is this guy if only Harry Playdough head is interested

perhaps he is not good enough for us we need a DM Though

Positive phone call between Arsenal & Walcott camp Thurs night, hence Wenger confidence Fri. Deal not done but not far off

You believe every rumour on Twitter do you ? <grr>
Joking apart i think everything is pointing to Walcott signing a new contract <ok>
I just hope he doesn't have second thoughts after yesterday's debacle

It's us that should be having thoughts about Walcott after yesterday, I thought he was poor.

He certainly didn't have one of his better games.Once we went down to 10 men it was a case of trying to hold what we have. That was the reason for substituting Chamberlain with Mertersacker.Once we went 1-0 down we were ****ed.I couldn't fault the team's effort overall.

I'm sorry he wasn't poor, he was Walcott against non-shambolic defending.

Saying he was poor would imply it was out of the ordinary in similar circumstances.

He was poor. Even when Theo faces teams that defend well, he has played better. He has made better runs and has pressed the opposition better. He did none of that yesterday.

What about a four man midfield ?

Cazorla....Wilshere...Arteta....Oxo

Think a Diamond might suit us while Arteta is out.

---------------Wilshere ---------------
Oxo---------------------------Diaby-
-------------Carzorla-------------
------Walcott---------Podolski-------

Was impressed by his performance yesterday, but has to start performing when he starts. Pre injury, he was the classic 4-4-2 midfielder though.

I think we've got more options to play 4-4-2 with the players we've got than 4-3-3.

Either one of Arteta, Diaby, Ramsey could partner Jack in the middle.

It's quite strange how some players perform from one formation to the next, despite playing in more or less the same role. Looking at Ramsey, he made his name in a 442, but has never really excelled in our 4231/433, but yesterday in a 2 man midfield again, he did well.

I think Arteta should be good in a 442 though as well, didn't he have his best years at Everton in that formation?

I worry that if we play a DM in a 4-3-3, we'd be creatively bereft in there. I'd much rather see us play 4-4-2 at the moment. I think it would suit our strikers better too. I like the idea of Podolski playing just behind Walcott, or Giroud.

Apparenty we've come back in for Zaha,

This leads me to think the Walcott situation is not going in our favour.

Well done Arsenal - going to **** up another transfer window. That Gazidis/Wenger partnership working a treat.<doh>
