I'm not sure we need any more attacking midfielders apart from maybe a left winger.

I'd rather spend 20 million on a quality DM or a strong combative box-to-box mid to replace Diaby. Also a striker, but only if he's clearly better than Giroud (Llorente/Cavani/Villa).

Yeah I agree. Some physicality in midfield and a TOP striker should be our targets.

Cavani and M'Vila would make me happy. (unlikley I'll freely admit though)
(or on a budget how about Biglia and Llorente)

A shame because he can still be useful, but it was time he left. Hopefully we'll use his wages on someone who actually plays well regularly for us (like Walcott).

Has to go. One of the highest paid players at the club and could not even get into the matchday squad for the game against Bradford. Wenger says there is nothing going wrong with him off the field but actions speak louder than words.

Agree, it's time for him to go. Shame it ended this way, of all the Arsenal flops he is by far the most talented. Just to think that for 6 months Arshavin and Fabgeras were considered the best Arsenal players... what a waste of talent. But the fact that he was ruthlessly played out of position makes me wish him well, he has some work cut out for him at Reading

Rumours are that we might get Arda Turan from Atletico Madrid in the Jan window. I don't know anything about him though. Worth a shot?

He is decent, but nothing special at all. I would not buy him for Arsenal.

Agree with that. He was highly rated when he first broke into the Galatasaray team, but has not fulfilled his potential, also welcome to the forum.

They were saying that about Henry at Juve weren't they? Who knows, Turan could be a quality player.

-EDIT- Just read he plays on the left too. We need more options on that side.

What sort of twisted ****er has April's fools day just after Christmas ? <grr>

As always I'm not expecting much, but I do know that based on previous transfer windows the amount of rumors or linked players is no indication of what is going on.

You're just being gullible. Everybody knows that the papers only speak the truth <whistle>
