No chance Atletico Madrid let him go, especially after he's just joined and been their best player. But also, a couple of the reasons why he wanted to leave City was he didn't enjoy the weather in the UK and he wanted to be around more native Spanish speakers. I don't think he has any intention of returning back to the prem.
I mean London is a wee bit warmer than Manchester and half our coaching staff speak Spanish.

City smash out Ait-Nouri, Cherki and Rejinders all in one morning. Never seen so many Ornstein and Romano bombs about one club in one morning. Urgh. Meanwhile, we'll be announcing signing Zubimendi for the fourth time in July (before he actually then moves to Real) and declare we're holding 'firm interest' in Williams, Sesko and Gittens before signing Rashford on loan in late August.

But nah, he was always going to cost too much and I get the feeling, if you were open to selling, you'd have preferred to sell him abroad than to a domestic rival anyway.
It's this season coming that will decide that situation. I've not been overly excited by the links we've had to players, but Pedro would be nice. Isak, Pedro, Osula, Wilson is a nice stable for the striker position.

It's the right decision for multiple reasons. But over the 5 years he's been at the club, I can't say he's been value for money. Also, expecting a pay rise when you're 32 years old and have rarely proven your fitness is not realistic.
Time to move on and refresh the midfield.
How do you feel about the Norgaard signing ?

think a few more defensive midfielders and at least one more CB/FB is more likely considering Artetas previous transfer windows .That front three if we pull this off !
So far we’ve signed a back up GK, a deep lying midfielder and a backup DM lol
That said, Zubemendi is a class act. But yeah we need a striker !
