If this is true, it makes me question whether we're going to sell Martinelli. I don't see us keeping both this Summer.
Because neither of them are good enough to be starters for us if we're serious about winning trophies. I don't mind keeping one, but we can't keep both. We need to sell one and upgrade the other.

If this is true, I think that means Zinchenko is definitely leaving. Tierney we know is gone. And Tomiyasu, despite my belief he would stay due to his recovery from the injury he's got, may be moved on too, according to some reports.
It may also mean Arteta sees Lewis-Skelly's future in midfield longer-term. Otherwise wouldn't make sense to sign another left-back.
Where does the chance creation come from? Does this solve our issues in progressing from central areas? Also, I'm still concerned we don't have a deep passer in midfield. Zubimendi's a good player, but he's not renowned for long passes or switches of play.
It's why I think we need another midfielder or two IMO (depending on what happens with Partey). It's not about quantity, it's about the right balance of profiles.
chance creation comes from having balance on the left and Odegaard sorting himself out. If we have a proper Odegaard, Saka, a proper LW and Gyokeres we’ll be sorted.
Rice as the permanent #8 will also cook. Is there a better #8 than him?

He's been a useful player for us, and he's served his purpose, but it's time to move on. Giving him a contract that keeps him here for another 4 years is bonkers. I thought it would be a 2 year extension at best.

No we won't sell Martinelli.
Sterling is going back to Chelsea though so we will most likely sign someone.
It’s ALMOST like our #1 target’s club might be tied up trying to qualify for the CL and therefore won’t be remotely interested in listening to us for another week or two. But even then, sounds like Gyokeres is near enough done.
I doubt we will play a double pivot TBH. I wish we would though because it really benefits Odegaard.
