From Newcastle or United - 100% they would pay 50m for Tierney. They paid 70m for Isak and 50m for Anthony Gordon.

Two Seasons ago we were talking about Tierney being the top LB in the league. He's a 50m player all day.

I'm tired of Arsenal selling for cheap - if a rival wants a class player like Tierney they should have to pay for him.We need to stop being soo soft.

Again, the situations for these players you mention are different to Tierney's situation. Isak and Gordon were assets for Sociedad and Everton respectively that they didn't want, or need, to sell. Tierney is out of favour and is likely to push for a move. He's been available for 58% of games since he's been an Arsenal player, so his availability isn't exactly sky high either. And he doesn't match the way Arteta wants to play which is why Tomiyasu at LB has sometimes been preferred to him.

If we get a bid of £35m-£40m, I am telling you - Arsenal will undoubtedly accept that offer.

On the subject of transfers.. When you think Chelsea paid £90m for Mudryk (with add ons) and he's a year OLDER than Martinelli or Saka.

What's their market value? - seeing as both will probably hit 20+ goal/assists this Season.

Considering we were willing to break our transfer record for him, there is clearly something special about him. My guess is we will have to see whether he has the desired impact over the next few seasons, but this was deemed a long-term investment, as opposed to him signing for Chelsea and hitting the ground running (like Trossard has for us).

If he doesn't fulfil his potential, then obviously they will take a monumental hit. But my guess is they expect him to work out in the long-term, so - from their point of view - the money was worth the risk for them.

Would be a blow, as he’s one of our most talented youth players, but not much we can do if he wants to go, as he’s under 18. I think this would be a mistake for him personally, but he’ll have to learn the hard way.

A bit like Omari Hutchinson perhaps. A combo of thinking you’re better than you are and that the grass is greener. My colleague watches a lot of the youth and Nwaneri rarely gets mentioned. Whatever. Lewis-Skelly and Cozier-Duberry are apparently unreal.
Basically if you’re double barrelled then you’re automatically awesome

Honestly if you are a youth prospect at Arsenal and not excited by the prospect of playing in Arteta's team then your probably not the smartest,.He should be fighting for a first team place and looking to get better - not chasing cash at 16 years of age.

I think a lot of it is bad advice from his agents though. He's still a kid at the end of the day, so needs guidance and support from his inner circle who he trusts - but they don't seem to be giving him the right message it seems.

Sometimes it’s family pressure to get a move and signing on bonus that’s behind bad decisions!! Any youth player must see that at Arsenal you will be given opportunities to play in the 1st team, whereas at Chelsea (in particular) you won’t and may get a larger pay packet but won’t get game time and will not progress and develop like you will at Arsenal

should be a no brainier but hey they ain’t all as clever as Saka etc

Summer window...

Bring Pepe back for backup RW
Sign Tielemans on a free
Sign Bellingham for £130m

Or if Partey ends up being a dirty rotter in prison then £130m on Rice and Caicedo instead

Am I the only one who really likes Pepe?! :emoticon-0138-think

Don't think he suits us stylistically and also, he isn't technically secure enough to get regular minutes under Arteta. He's hardly smashing it at Nice this season, either.

Think we'll cut our losses this Summer and get rid for a significantly reduced price.
