Sure but thats because we cant recoup any money back. Torreiras still worth £20m, AMN probably £15m ish, Kolasinac £5-10m, Elneny £10-11m, Bellerin £20m etc. Get Willian off the books, possibly sell Guendouzi and Nelson too... do all that and we are good (ish).

But yeah Arteta has been thoroughly backed.
 
Lots of teams finding it difficult to offload their deadwood so we aren’t the only ones. Look at how many United have to get rid of and they are on bigger salaries than most of ours.
willian is the one we most need to get rid of as he is getting £100k a week and spending it on donuts by the look of him

We're at a stage where we're open to offers of a bag of chips for Winks and Sissoko.

Though I said on our board I've got a feeling the final week of the window is gonna be mad. Think teams will eventually accept lowball offers just to get certain personnel off the books and even players that teams may not be desperate to sell may be moved on to raise finances for incomings. The only major problem will be persuading some of the players to actually **** off, Nuno and our new DoF have told Winks he ain't wanted, Villa and Everton are interested, yet he's saying he still wants to stay... Prick.

I have to say I do like the Trippier rumours - i mean he would be overpriced for his age bracket but he's a good aggressive RB, can defend and decent getting forward.

Aouar rumours looking stronger than ever.

If we did sign both those before the window closes.. How could we line up?

I dont really get it if I'm honest. Surely CM & CF is where we should be looking to add.

he did start to produve for us then got injured against Roma and has never looked the same since plus he seems a tad distracted by life outside football for some reason

No way back for Ox - so glad we sold him and can’t believe any rumours of trying to get him back as we don’t need his injuries

Most of the reliable Arsenal correspondents poured water on those rumours pretty quickly. Said that there's no talks with the agent and no discussions about the player internally.

I agree though, that we do need to be looking at a player like him or with his profile.

He looks really good, already disproving the one season wonder stuff from last season.

We've also been linked with him as a long term replacement for Kane/ current partner for him.

Sounds like Fiorentina want a pretty penny for him though despite only having 18 months left on his deal.

Arsenal are notorious for doing our business in secret, at least we always used to be. But he's defo the sort of player we need to be looking at as a long term replacement for Auba/Lacazette.

Problem is City still need a replacement for Aguero and they are the kind of ****ehawks that will just drop £100m to get him
