Telegraph, Metro and Times all claiming Arteta wants Coutinho, Willian and Partey as he is looking to play in a 4-3-3 mext term and doesnt feel he currently has the players to do so.

Could we look like this next Season?....

-------------------------Martinez-------------------------
Bellerin------Saliba--------New/Mari------Tierney
--------------------------Partey----------------------------
---------Xhaka------------------------Coutinho---------
--Pepe--------------Aubemeyang-----------Willian--

Bench: Martinelli, Saka, Luiz, Ceballos, Cedrick, Holding, Leno.

No Lacazette ?

I’m puzzled by this rumor.

I have not seen arteta play no9 as a traditional 9. He wants him deep and press and the other two break in (that’s why Auba got so many goals). If laca leaves is Auba expected to this work?

Yeah fair point - But I suppose City often played with a traditional 9 (Aguero) - which Auba can of course do.
But actually if we do keep Laca I think he can play the false 9 role very well.

He was made redundant, but I really do not like what I see here. That man was responsible for many of the great players we have had.

It's looking like we are going the agent driven approach. I am very concerned by this.

Any of you guys listen to

I know. I wonder if the fans who keep backing Ozils decision to refuse a pay cut are getting a better understanding of the situation now?
We are set to loose £70-100m in gate revenue this Season.

You can't blame it on Ozil, the blame lies with kroenke. His net with has grown by $300+million during this pandemic. If ever there was ever of time for him to relax his stance on the "self sustaining" model its now

Non-sense. I do blame Ozil - all his team mates took a cut, staff members were laid off. People he sees and interacts with on a daily basis.

Kroenke is letting Arsenal run itself - that's not a bad thing! The whole reason he bought the Club is becaues it was a profitable business. We cant get mad because he is not doing an Abramovic - that's not the norm for how a business runs.

I really do not expect him to operate like Abramhovic, I expect him to protect jobs any decent man would do so. It would be a drop in the ocean for him.

But the arsenal PR machine will have us blaming a working class kid turned pro footballer, over Kroenke who was born filthy rich and is now a multi billionaire

If you average out the wages let's say the the 55 employees get paid on average 50K a year that's 2.75 million. Arsenal could have covered that.

That's not how this works. Raul/Edu have to make a profit, they are being hired to grow the Club - if they don't they cant expect a bail out ..they can expect to get fired.

He's pretty ruthless from what I read.

I agree mate...but would be amazed if the average wage was anywhere near that high tbh.
Would have thought more in the
£25-30 k bracket...which makes the decision even more disgusting.

This aint a dig at gooner fans btw...we tried furloughing staff on 80% of their wages. We kicked off with thpusnads of members and season ticket holders emailing the club msking it clear they were not going to renew STs and memberships. Thankfully that and the socisl media campaigning forced the club to backtrack.
Hope gooners mount a campaign like we did and force them to back track.
FFS...they are trying to offer Aubameyang an extra £150k per week which is an EXTRA £7.8m a year yet do this to ordinary paid staff.
****ty morals imho.

So ozil saying he wants assurances over jobs losses and not taking kroenke on his word seems like the right decision. Ozil was one of three BTW. Bit strange that we only know ozil. My bet that the other two players are experienced just like ozil and know that you can't trust billionaires.

The thing is the redundancies were most - if not all from recruitment. (scouts etc..)

I remember Minislat saying that the department was 'bloated and dysfunctional'. It could be what's happening here is essentially a restructuring.

Just heard on radio (TalkSPORT so taken with a pinch of salt) that we had the most staff in the PL, and even after the 55 redundancies we will still have the most staff in the PL.

I gotta be honest I really dont get the urgency on the Willian deal.
3 year deal for a player his age is just plain weird. I understand Arteta wants a certain type of wide player - someone who can pass and create but also keep up a high tempo pressing game.

Some outlets saying we wont be signing Coutinho because we are signing Willian. That would be an awful decision IMO - Coutinho is the better player in almost very way. Really hope we still go in for Coutinho.

Willian has been a consistent performer for Chelsea and contributes with regular goals.
Couthino hasn't exactly impressed anywhere since leaving Liverpool

Actually not true - thats just the press talking bollocks as usual. They used to say his about Ibrahimovic even when he was smashing in the goals. Coutinho's 'poor' Seasons are still better than Willians best. It's just with such a high transfer fee the expectations are higher.

Apparently he has'nt had the best Season at Bayern (according to British press at least) - but he scored 9 goals and had 8 assists and has a passing accuracy of 88%.
At barca..
2018/2019 11 Goals 8 assist
2017/2018 14 Goals 22 assist

- He's a TOP player. I also think he suits the more open fast paced EPL.
