I wouldnt say that - Ozil is barely even training with the first team. He's been made to train with Guendouzi and the reserves on multiple occasions.
Arteta clearly has no intention of using him unless he shows a completetly different attitude (unlikely) - You think he will be happy to spend another year of his career not playing football?

Ornstein is saying with next to no budget available Arteta will be looking at Sales and player swaps this Summer - so we may see the Spaniard being more ruthless than we are used to.

Here's what I would look to do in that case..

Sell....
Mkhitarian
Elneny
Sokratis
Chambers
Mustafi
Ozil - he has to go to facilitate the wages needed to re-sign Aubameyang.
Personally I would keep Lacazette - He has real quality just needs more consistency.

Guendouzi - swap deal with Coutinho. Be a shame to loose the Frenchman but Coutinho would give us the offensive creativity we currently lack.
Gabriel Margalaes - much as I would like us to sign Upamecano I think he's out of our price range. Gabriel would be an excellent signing - he's 6'4 and has a great range of passing. £30m
Hassim Aouar - one year left on his deal still only 21. Would be a great signing especially if we dont resign Ceballos.
Mario Goetze or David Silva. Both are out of contract - Goetze is still only 27 - worth a second chance? David Silva worth a one year deal surely?

Would love Partey but think thats unlikley unless Lacazette goes the other way.

I think ozil has lost hunger, I like him as a player think he has great qualities but for many players football is a job and I think that's the case with him. 350K a week is to much money to sacrifice for him, he's not getting that elsewhere and he knows it.

The only way we get ozil out is if we ofset some of his wages, similar situation to Bale happy to sit out his contract because the money is so good.
 
Coutinho squad number was 7, Griezmann was 17, and he has tweeted that his new number is 7.
so Coutinho is leaving/left

lets go get him on loan

Willian on a free not over the moon about it, but a player who can play on both wings with a decent amount of creativity I'm not against it.

I like Willian as a player as he has good energy but I dislike the face that he will want big money wages which might detract from Auba offer.

also not sure where we would play him as who from front line would miss out, or would we play

I dont have a problem with signing Willian he's a decent player and is versatile but...

Chelsea look to be signing Kai Haverts and have already added Werner and Ziyech.
How are we going to compete when our rivals are strengthening and we have yet to even tie down our best player?

Thomas Partey would be a big signing for us but we also need better quality creatively. I dont think Artetas means to keep three at the back but our inability to play through teams has forced his hand. I was thinking about players who would suit our team and I think Martin Odengaard would be the perfect signing. He's technically superb, can pick a pass and score a goal but he also has that tenacity where he constanly looks to win the ball back and get going - reminds me a little of Tevez & Sanchez in that way.

Real still dont have place for him and it looks like he will be loaned to Sociadad for another year.

The media in this country is soo ****ing toxic.
Talksport calling Coutinho a 'Barcelona flop' purely because we are linked with him. If he was moving back to Liverpool the narrative would be soo different.

Yeah - Just hope that does'nt mean Auba is leaving too. They are clearly good friends.

I like Lacazette alot though - works hard is a good finisher.

I think auba has signed, arsenal Twitter account keep talking about number 14 from Henry to our 14th FA cup. Pictures on Twitter of Ian Wright and a camera crew next to Henry's statue holding a pen. I think it's part of aubas contract announcement video

I didn't actually see Aubameyang in those pics ? Wondering if it might be something to do with Wrighty's youtube channel.

Anyway, hope it is an Auba contract extension. That would literally be the biggest signing of the summer keeping him on board.

Telegraph, Metro and Times all claiming Arteta wants Coutinho, Willian and Partey as he is looking to play in a 4-3-3 mext term and doesnt feel he currently has the players to do so.

Could we look like this next Season?....
