He's on £90k per week. That still pisses me off <laugh> It's decisions like this that really make me glad Wenger and Gazidis aren't here any longer, but it also frustrates me that we didn't get rid of the pair of them earlier on.
 
Celtic have reportedly knocked back a new bid for Kieran Tierney from Arsenal that could have reached £25million.

Football Scotland state the Premier League side lodged an offer of £17.5m – with £7.5m in extra payments.
Some of these add-ons centred around the Champions League and Celtic were said to be unconvinced they would be met.

The Scottish champions instead want a flat fee of around £25m.

<doh> Sigh. Even under a new regime, we are still mucking about with transfers.

Either pay the price properly or move on to other targets and stop wasting everyone's time.

A lot of sources (led by Sky) claiming we are going to bid for Zaha.

I dont understand how this makes sense...Palace value him at £80m.

we probably could not afford half of that. What amount could we possibly bid?????

I have a nasty feeling there may be some truth to Aubameyang going to United....:emoticon-0101-sadsm
 
Zaha makes no sense unless Emery plans to sell one of Aubameyang/Lacazette.

There is zero chance he is spending 60-100m on a wide player and still planning to play two up front next Season.

Personally think that money would be MUCH better spent on a TOP class CM.
 
Talk of us wanting to bring in Yacine Brahimi from Porto. He's 29 now, but he's available on a free after his contract ran out.

Quality player with bags of experience, scored 13 goals last season from MF. He'd be a really decent acquisition.

It would be utter madness to sell either Auba or Laca. I don't see it happening tbh, but this club have done things in the past that have baffled me, so you never know....

We exaggerate player ratings good or bad these days. For a player his age, he is definitely beyond his years but world class is a stretch. The mistakes he makes will be cut as he gets more experience. He has the potential to be in the world class bracket sooner than normal. Is he better than Alderweireld right now? NO! Worth more but not better than. But if he continues the way he is going he could (as you mentioned) get into the GOAT conversation in no time. That is how much promise he showing at such a young age
 
An ideal situation would be if Mhikhi was part of a deal for Zaha. But won't happen looking at his wages. I think we are stuck with Miki, Ozil and Mustafi unfortunately.

I actually think Mustafi will be on his way this summer, though not sure if loan or permanent. He has not featured in any picture with the new kit, and people at the armoury yesterday were saying there were no mustafi kits anywhere in the store (as opposed to the other players).
 
Gabriel Martinelli has signed today. 18 year old Brazilian forward, not sure if he'll go straight into the first team or the U-21s to start with.

Mkhi is in the pictures. (On a few of them actually )

Mustafi nowhere to be seen though.
