Seems quite certain that Arsenal are working on a defender. Just remains to be seen if we can get a deal done today ....
 
Do we actually have to sell Giroud to Chelsea ? Batshuayi has gone on loan to Dortmund and Aubameyang has signed for us. I reckon we should only sell him to Chelsea IF Luiz is coming the other way. Otherwise, **** them. Giroud will still get games as a sub and in the Europa league.

In principal yes. But deals aren't done until they are done. If Chelsea are only offering us £17.5m then I think we should keep him. If they are offering us David Luiz, then yes go for it. Apparently the Chelsea negotiator was trying to drive down the price for Giroud yesterday, maybe it's our turn to play hard ball with them.

That's if Giroux isn't already in the process of getting a medical at Chelsea...want him to stay but this was one complex transfer than had Giroud involved. Who knows maybe they got Dzeko...

I hope they get Dzeko and we keep Giroud.
Or we swap Giroud for Luiz.
I don't think the £17m is worth it for strengthening a rival

Personnel makes no difference. Already stated that. Getting great players = great. But they'll mean nothing until they have a football manager in charge.
 
Being linked to a late bid for Max Meyer. He's a deep lying playmaker - similar in style to Carzorla.

22 years old - would imagine he's being seen as Santi's Long term replacement.
