Tolisso rumours all over Twitter at the moment.

Why would Bayern let him go though? He had an excellent first Season.

He would however be a monumental signing. The kind of midfielder you could really build your side around.

He only joined Bayern last season and had an immense first season, can't see this one happening, but you never know. Would be an amazing signing

Seems unlikely for sure. Although he was a childhood Arsenal fan apparently.

Being strongly linked with Marouane Fellaini today. (its in pretty much every paper)

This one I could see happening.

I actually dont think it would be too bad of a move. Again, not a signing to take us forward IMO, but he does offer something different.

One big probem is all the signings we are targeting are up there in age...

    Sokratis 30
    Fellaini 30
    Lichsteiner 34

Wenger would turn over in his grave if he was dead, so he'll being turning over in his bed instead. It all comes down to what Emery has in mind and whether he would fit. Fellaini was never a bad player and playing under Maureen was never going to look pretty for him, but he can still do a job if used in the right way.

I doubt its true about Fellaini but who knows.

I could see the signing of a few experienced players as a clever short term strategy.

You buy the players who have winning experience to get you back in the Champions League. You also buy young talent (for WAY less than established big names) and slowly bring them into the side. Having exeperinced winners in the side makes the transition easier for the youth.

Fellaini has his uses and they are few... but he can be interesting if used in the correct way (which he almost never is).

I'd take Fellani on a free. He's clearly an option B that we now don't have since we sold Giroud. I know he's not a fashionable player, and he's pretty limited in terms of his overall play, but stick him up front when we have to go long or cross balls into the box and he'll cause problems for the defence.

If he's on a free, sure why not. Its another (large) body to stick on the dying moments of a game if we are under the cosh. Can't really say no to free players and I might be wrong on this, but is home grown or not? Going to have to check.

Apparently he's on £80k at Utd. I would expect Arsenal to be significantly reducing that wage if he comes.

He is a very, very useful player. He creates havoc in the opposition box and scores awkward goals, he breaks up play in midfield and keeps possession when you are pressed and he is a great auxiliary defender at set pieces. Why do you think we want to keep hold of him, he is not a starter but can sure change the direction of a game.

As he did against us at OT this year. We played pretty well in that game, and with a second string team. Had 1-1 all over it until Maureen stuck Fellani on and almost guaranteed that he was going to do something to create a goal for Utd, which he ended up scoring.

Well, unfortunately we are not in a position to really be picky about what we get in terms of transfers. Being in the Europa league does limit us somewhat. We are going to need to grind out some results next season we need hard workers, not more over paid prima donnas.

Arsenal fans these days.<yikes> I'm just gonna stay away from social media its giving me a headache.

1.Sokratis. Most saying he's too old.
    2. Stephan Lichtsteiner. Way too old.
    3. Fellaini. The general response is 'No thanks'.

    Here's how I see it.
    1. Sokratis. He's the Captain of Dortmund. He's a tough no-nonsense defender. Gonna offer us leadership and experience.
    2. Stephan Lichtsteiner. Might be 34 but he's been one of the best RB's around for years. Also judging by his last few performances for Switzerland there's still plenty left in the tank.
    3. He stagnated at United but he's a big powerful player who can offer us versatility. Lets not forget he can play DM as well as CM/AMF. Personally think he could be a useful player.

    1 and 3 i can accept.

Lichtsteiner plz. He's basically a swiss james milner but with less crossing ability. A solid, physical player who does a job at RB. he's not quick, or technically that good but he is physical and solid and has lots of energy (although at 34, we'll see). Maybe that's what you boys need and tbh he's obviously just cover for bellerin.

Have you seen the amount of assists he's had?
