I do wonder if Barca would be more or lekss keen to sell to us what with already owing quite a lot for the initial Fabregas purchase and *chortle* Song. Probably wouldn't make any difference but it could enable them to clear up a few debts there + give them straight cash to buy Suarez.

No matter what happens I doubt we'll hear anything official until the 10th.

PS I think it's adorable that some of you are twitters buddies. Friiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeends! xx
Friiiiiiiiiiiiîiiieeeeeeeeeends,Twitter friiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeeeeends <whistle>

Debuchy removing NUFC from his bio on twitter would certainly imply he wants out. Not the best of moves imo as you can go about such things a little classier than that. Some interesting pricetags on the Newcastle forum though with people thinking his price tag should range from £10m-30+! Made me laugh anyway. Personally I think £10-12m is a fair price for him considering his form whilst in the EPL. He turns 29 shortly so he only has 3-4 more years at the very top of his game.

I was quite shocked by how old Debuchy is.

They are starting to think like Ashley! Agreed, he's not worth more than 10m-12m. He didn't very much impress me in the league and the WC he has been decent. I'd rather have Aurier, as he is bigger, stronger, faster and can also play CB.

I think he'd be fine to be honest but don't want to see us over-spend on him. Aurier is a really unknown quantity but wouldn't mind us taking a punt on him, even at the detriment to Jenkinson. Thing is, he'd be around £7-10m as well I imagine (based of a £5m bid being rejected from QPR) and I can't see Arsene signing two RBs.

It makes sense to get Debuchy if Wenger sees Jenkinson as the future. However, It will be interesting if we end up with Aurier and it would leave Jenkinson's future uncertain.

Dont know how you guys can handle it.
I know there is plenty of time left in the window, and theres a world cup on, but looking at your tital rivals transfers for next season

Man Utd:

Chelsea:
Cesc Fabregas
Diego Costa
59m

Liverpool:
Adam Lallana
Emre Can
Rickie Lambert
39m

Man City:

I think this Puma deal will probably see us unveiling a player or two. I don't think we will go to last minutes, i hope.

That World Cup excuse doesn't hold much water for me. I think no matter if we had anyone lined up or not then we'd hear b*gger all until the 10th July. I also think most Arsenal fans are desensitised now, at least to a certain extent!

It helped seeing how poorly Costa played too <whistle>

hehe i'll bite.
World cups aren't usually indicative of anything to be honest.
Players are in a totally alien squad to what they are used to. Besides, he also had a hamstring injury and was no where near fit enough,
Coupled with the fact that the whole Spain squad were dreadful in this WC.

Tbh i think united and Liverpool haven't spent wisely i don't know if its just me but i think Luke Shaw is very overrated if he was french or spanish would he be rated so highly ? Herrera i haven't seen him play enough to judge who here has really watched alot of Bilbao games last season. I think Chelsea have strengthened well the addition of fabregas is a big one for them he is one of the top mid fielders in the world but Costa i am not convinced by only really came good last season and his whole team played for him last season he was there only source of attack so you are bound to get goals. i am predicting he will get goals but Chelsea will soon be after a upgrade on him

I hope the Sanchez rumour has some weight and the deal is coming.

But.. I wouldn't be surprised if we end up getting nothing done til the last day again.

I really don't understand Arsenals reasoning with Debauchy.

We don't offer Sagna (one of our best players in recent years) enough money to keep him at the Club - so he goes elsewhere.

Then we spend (probably) £10-12 million on a anotherFrenchman only one year younger.

Surely it would have been worth just giving Sagna the payrise?

I think Sagna had made his mind up to go. It wouldn't have mattered how much we offered him.

I'd rather not be held to ransom by a decent but not great full back
