Mata for 37million pounds vs draxler for 35 million pounds....

Not the same type of course but similar. One proven in PL and the other not.

Yes but the difference is we could get Draxler. We never had a chance to get Mata once he went to Chelsea and Maureen took over.....Draxler will most probably be a summer move anyway.

Wenger has just said that it is very unlikely there will be any transfer activity

I'd rather get Thauvin and/or Draxler than Mata. Mata is just a bit too similar to Ozil and Cazorla in playstyle.

Mata is a brilliant player but, as has been said, just too similar to some of our best players. Is he better than Cazorla? Maybe, but he's not £40m better!

As for us, I can't see us buying now. As for Wenger, being the consumate bargain hunter he is I reckon he's gone to Bulgaria after watching that "documentary" on Sunny Bay. All you can drink for £7.50!

I'm not all in tears about Mata as we have a very fine set of midfielders now, and Cazorla, Wilshere and Ozil are too similar anyway. But he is still a top player and anyone buying him will benefit hugely, apart from their bank balance.

I still wonder how he will fit in at Manchester United. I like him as a player but I can't see him working there honestly. WE don't need him, as we are stacked with those types of players. One club that I could (possibly) have seen him working well at, was Liverpool. Unsure as to why there was no interest from their side, with the Rogers and Mourinho connection they had.

I was thinking the very same thing about Liverpool, he would have been perfect for them. As for manure, how will Moyes use him? He hasn't got a clue what to do with Kagawa and Nani, what will he do with Mata?

Probs with Mata is that while he is creative and combative going forward, he doesn't track back much (as say a player like Rooney would). Moyes teams have always been based around a strong work ethic which I can't see the likes of Mata fitting into. I think this is the main reason why Jose wanted him gone (even though he said otherwise). I feel he'll be a bit like Arshavin was for us, brilliant at first, will get them into the top four, but not a great long term option due to his lack of defensive ability.

    ---------------Fellaini----------?????????-----------------

    Januzaj----------------Mata----------------------????????

    -----------------------RVP-------------------------------

If they use their Summer transfer budget and the proposed Rooney money to get a top midfielder and right winger they could have one of the best front 6s in Europe (assuming RVP can get fit). Lot's of 'ifs' in that statement though.

But imagine if they got someone like Thauvin or Reus on the wing and Gundogan next to Fellaini

Janujaz and Fellaini will hardly be filling opposition teams with dread

It could quiet easily change for manure but the big question is can they get these players in with Moyes in charge, and they'll still have Moyes.

Januzaj is clearly very good and will shortly be one of the best.

Fellaini hasn't suddenly turned into a terrible player. He's just lacking confidence in a mediocre team. If he was tasked with doing what he does best... being a physical beast of a DM then he'd do the dogsbody work allowing the rest of those players to shine.

Fellaini and Gundogan would be one of the best CM pairings in Europe.

Januzaj, Mata and Reus would be one of the best attacking midfields in Europe.

A fit RVP IS one of the best strikers in Europe.

Let's hope not. Moyes is the stumbling block but the name of the club is still a draw. Players will look at it and have to draw up whether the positive of playing for 'United' outweighs the negatives of playing under an oaf.

I suppose but when you have all these nouveau riche types floating about, the playing field becomes all the more difficult. But then again, Mata did go to manure.....

Jonuzaj looks promising but its a bit of a stretch to say he will shortly be one of the best...

I never rated Fellaini particularly, even at Everton

You needed a striker in the summer and you still do, the chance to win the league is within your grasp, unbelievable if you don't really go for it!!

You are massively overrating them, Fellaini-Januzaj making part of one of the 'best' front 6 in Europe? Get outttaaaaaaaaaa here! Januzaj has lot's of potential, but he's not world class at the moment, and as for Fellaini, well yeah lol, world class?
