Bollocks. He was also very good last season when he was playing alongside Falcao. In these two seasons, he has also shown great versatility.
Well as long as we buy him in Jan and he finishes off that one season wonder, helping us win the Premiership, then he was well worth the money. Our main priority is to get good CF cover, as we have plenty of games left and its risky to rely on Giroud all season.
Would people be happy if we brought Benteke? He's not cup tied, is young, quick and very very strong. He had a blinding opening season but seems to be going through a rocky spell right now, not helped by injuries. Heard we had scouts at Villa last night watching him (admittedly via twitter...). I personally would love him and think with the service he'd get from the midfield he could flourish.
Bentekkers would be a good addition. For £15m would Villa turn it down? Let's face it, he's scored more goals that Giroud in a team with worse service than Giroud's had so he is probably slightly better.
Dream signing would be Lukaku but it's quite clear the chance of him ever playing for Arsenal is as close to 0% as you can get. In a year or two I think Lukaku will be head and shoulders the best striker on the planet.

F*ck it, might as well take a risk on this Costa fella, who cares if he's a c*nt or likely a one season wonder.
why dont we just go and get the scout responsible for unearthing those strikers !!! - he must be very good or very lucky but either way he obvoiusly knows what he is doing as A Madrid keep finding them and then selling them on for good money.
we used to be very good at finding strikers but we seem to have lost that touch recently
