There is ALWAYS a risk. It is just a judgement call on whether a player with potential will get better, or a player who has been brilliant in one environment will be good in another.

Yes we have been disappointed by the potential argument more often in the recent past, than we have been by the superstar argument, but we should try and put that aside and judge each case on its merit. We should not turn down another RVP or another Fabregas because we are scared of another Bendtner or Denilson. (In my opinion)

Owen was actually very good for Madrid. I think he had the highest goals to minutes ration of any striker their, but they just didn't want to put him ahead of fat ronaldo etc.

Gustavo is supposedly making his decision today, though again I'll take any rumour with a pinch of salt.

What annoys me about the Perez business is that, if he's a genuine talent, he'll be snapped up by a European club that doesn't have to worry about securing a work permit.

Can't remember a single instance when we've managed to secure a work permit for any young talent (he's not young but still).

I really don't think Swansea would sell him at a price that would make a move vaible for the buyer. Plus with those two upfront they could be in for a good season. I expect them to be mixing it with Liverpool and Everton.
 
Agree with you both. They have a good manager and some good players, maybe they can reach that coveted 4th spot? They ave a decent strike force to make the best take notice and the manger to take advantage.
