Think his last game was in the league game, when he made Jason Roberts look like the second coming of Didier Drogba.

It's a shame how quickly his career has gone downhill.I remember us playing Fulham at home on the last day of the i think it was the 2009/10 season.Djourou had been out with a long term injury and he came on as a sub.He was cheered to the rafters by the crowd. At that time we had high hopes for him.

That was probably his best season for us. I still he is a decent enough player, not a complete dud, and I think he will do well at some European club with a run of games.

I know he does a lot of the local community work and other off the field stuff, maybe the reason he's been kept around for so long?

Two Forwards that'd be ideal for us would be Andre Schurrle and Stevan Jovetić.

Obviously we'd have to break our transfer record.

Take back the M'Vila request, I'd prefer that Sissoko who has been likened to Diaby and Yaya Toure!!. I'm wondering, is Santi better at AM or on the wing? Personally i think a Sissoko-arteta/Diaby midfield can work, Santi on wing, exchanging role with wilshere AM. I like Santi but I'm sick of seeing umpa lumpas being steamed rolled in our midfield

Chelsea have signed Demba Ba according to Pardew. So we can definitely cross that option off.

Glad about that honestly. I could see him in a year's time not even making the bench just like Chamakh.

So we're most likely to get Adrian. Not sure if he's the step up in quality we need.

None of the strikers we were linked to seemed long term options to me, so personally I would be open to leave that for the end of the season.

The best opportunity to add a valuable addition to the team now seems to be M'Villa. If we get him and start giving Giroud more starts, and mix it up with Podolski against some opposition we could manage. We need a really good striker and if we can't get one in January we shouldn't settle for anything that would end up just being a wage leech a few months down the road.

As long as we dominate the midfield and create chances, we will score. Our rate of goals scored from chances created is apparently better this year compared to last year anyway...

I've had an idea. How about we don't sign a striker, and build the team around Giroud, ala Montpelier last season? 3 signings and we'd be golden. This would be the ideal 11.

    Szczesny
    Jenkinson Mertesacker Vermaelen Gibbs
    Sissoko Wilshere
    Belhanda
    Adrian Giroud Cazorla

    Thats pretty handy

Adrian is a 5/10 finisher, but his movement is 9/10.

Adrian's not the most clinical finisher, but movement's very good. Can play off the front man, is difficult to track and a great dribbler.

He's like an even more lightweight version of Jose Antonio Reyes.

Lots os skill and pace but I just cant see him make it in the EPL.

You don't need to be big to succeed in the PL. Juan Mata is proof.

Reyes could have been one of the best players in the world though but he didn't have the right attitude.
