Demba Ba reportedly wants 90k a week if he were to join us or Liverpool:

Personally, I think that's a good deal, the guy's a proven top quality goal scoring striker in the EPL, with 11 goals in 19 appearances for Newcastle in the league this season.

If we get rid of the likes of Arshavin, Chamakh, and Squilachi, that will free up a whole load of wages. Chamakh and Squilachi are on around 60k a week, I heard Arshavin's on 90k bloody a week.

Getting rid of those players also frees us up to increase Walcott's wages as well.

I suspect Djoure is also on his way out of Arsenal, he hasn't even been involved in the cup games, so I think he's gone, and that would also free up a lot of money for a wage bill.

It'd be interesting to see how the fans re-acted if we re-signed Nasri rofl - can't see it happening myself!

As for Demba Ba - I'd rather get Huntelaar or Llorente than Ba. Ba is a good player for sure but i'd prefer one of the other two i've mentioned.

Also Djourou (not sure why you always call him Djoure A87...) is our 4th choice CB, so if he goes does that mean we will be brining another CB into the squad or does it mean Miquel is making the step up?

Most likely Miquel (he seems quality)

It would most likely mean Miquel, along with Squilachi (unless he's sold), will cover 4th choice CB.

Mixed weekend results-wise. Disappointed Spurs won but we have a chance to move up to 5th with a win at Reading. Let's not blow it this time.

Just watching A.Madrid and Falcao.....what a striker! He just scored a lovely goal against barcelona!

On his day he's better than Iggy, but Iggy is more consistent and a much bigger prospect

I like Miquel, at CB though not LB. I know it sounds over the top at the moment, but he reminds me of a Paulo Maldini type of CB. Calm and level headed, a good ball player who keeps his head and and looks up and reads the game. He's a technical CB rather than a lump who just throws his body in the way.

Get both.

If we swiched to a 4-4-2 that could work.
Huntelaar could be the bigger, more physical finisher (Giroud as his back-up) Ba/Podolski as the quicker more energetic guy (Starter depends on their form) Theo could occasionally be put up front. I can't remember who but a club official said we had 30 Million this Winter so that could easily happen.
